And if the white background is a separate image the same for all buttons, each button would weight about 10-12 KB [<- kinda checked this tho could be even less] so I don't see any problem at all
get it a bit smaller. like below 5k. then op MIGHT reconsider. i would suggest, btw, something around 1/2k. then u'll have his attention. :]
btw, clan logos r the same for all clans, text is just different. that's why op doesn't wanna change them, but, if u would create a complete collection of sidebar logos, and present it (minding the size, and getting them smaller than current ones), op will reconsider too.

ok op's sidebar BG icon was ~4 KB. mine is ~1 KB. and yes i'd like to create a full set :]

op likes complete solutions with a good presentation, as far as i was able to introspect his personality for this short time.
so, do it, and then present it. i guess he'll accept anything better than previous solution, he just dislikes to waste his own time on other ppl's projects.
Ok i made a new set of images for the mainpage. updated [they are separated left/middle(don't stretch, but tile it)/right]

those left/right side images [separated] coming soon <- the separation will help reduce the file sizes :]
Btw OP, can u pls give me list of all needed sidebar images [i see that we don't use "n00b", "jerk" and some others :)]

someone recognized the new forum styles? SWAT Dark Grey and SWAT Bright Grey... They are really looking fresh. I like it! *Thumbs Up @ OP*
I used to use Dark Grey Space, but switched to Dark Grey New (background and brushed metal for posts = [thumb]) because the space background is too small for my brand new 22 inch Full HD rockin' LCD monitor (you can't imagine how happy I am cos this is an upgrade from 17-inch CRT :P) and it gets ugly tiling.
Btw, if you ask me the post message edit area is way too narrow

Hey another quick idea: maybe we can, like, mash up our own styles? For example, I want to use "magnet's adv. section buttons" for buttons, but CF dark new style for everything else.. Or smth like that
