…Begining very soon, players of Star Trek Online will have the opportunity to fly any Tier 6 Starship that they own, regardless of their characters’ levels! Pursuit of this feature began as an experiment with the Prototype Walker, and was later refined over the course of multiple subsequent ship releases, including the Mirror Universe Engle, Shran and M’Chla Pilot Starships, T’Pau Scout Ship, and Styx Terran Dreadnought, among others. With so many successfully-released starships now available to players, this experiment has solidified into a feature we are excited to pursue for all existing Tier 6 Starships, as well as all new ones going forward. We’ve seen a great deal of excitement and appreciation from players over removing the level restrictions on the aforementioned ships, along with the scaling mechanics represented in those ships. Hadrian Augustus Duval has provided a statement regarding his recent communications with Princess Aisling Duval.
The following announcement was broadcast on all Imperial media channels:

…Vodel is a familiar name to many, the independent company having cornered the market in personal land vehicles in recent years. But according to The Federal Times, a downturn in profits has led to the company being purchased by Core Dynamics, a giant in the field of starship manufacture.
Core Dynamics CEO Jupiter Rochester gave the following statement to The Federal Times:
"There's no question that the Vodel team possesses considerable expertise, and I'm delighted that Core Dynamics was able to help them in their hour of need."
"Vodel's core team of designers and engineers will remain in place under our roof, so consumers can rest easy – the Scarab they know and love will remain unchanged."
In a piece for Vox Galactica, business analyst Marlon Royce observed:
"Core Dynamics was smart to keep the Vodel team intact, since they clearly know their stuff. It's an excellent deal for both companies."

…The Pilots' Federation has revealed plans to establish a restricted area of space for newly licensed Commanders.
In a statement, spokesperson Gabriel Sanchos gave the following details:
"Following discussions with the three superpowers, representatives have acknowledged that independent pilots are a mainstay of the galactic community. As such, a Pilots' Federation District will be created for new Commanders, offering combat exercises and tailored assignments within several designated systems."
"The intention is to offer pilots an opportunity to complete contract assignments without exposing them to opportunistic criminals. Access to the district will depend on the possession of a permit granted to new Commanders alongside their Pilots' Federation license. This permit will be revoked once a certain level of experience has been acquired."

…Taja Gavaris, the CFO of Rackham Capital Investments, has unexpectedly resigned from her position and subsequently emigrated from Federal space.
Several other employees who were loyal to Gavaris resigned alongside her. All chose to waive their final salaries and bonuses, which totalled approximately 365 million credits according to sources within the company.
Journalist Bryanna Blanco commented in The Federal Times:
"It has become apparent that the Federal Intelligence Agents who acquired our data on Zachary Rackham were in fact imposters working for him, employing fake credentials. With our research, Rackham would be capable of blackmailing fellow ex-pirate Taja Gavaris into resigning – the corporate equivalent of assassinating a rival."
"Naturally, we cannot prove this is what has occurred. But rest assured that we'll continue keeping a close eye on Calico Zack."

The Maniac has become the poster child for social media support hell this month as he found himself locked out of his Instagram account. The saga began on or about April 1 when he got a new phone and was unable to log in. His password resets didn't work and he encountered some baffling "user not found" errors. And despite being an IG-verified celebrity with more than 150,000 followers, he couldn't reach a live support human to get him sorted out. So, he resorted to Twitter and various news outlets to get the word out. Apparently it worked, and as of last night, his account was reset so he could begin posting again.
Matthew Lillard is currently starring in NBC's Good Girls, so he's got plenty of promotion to catch up on! Social media platforms have long since moved beyond being frivolous sharing outlets and are a bonafide component of any professional marketing strategy, so something like this

Aegis has entered into a partnership with the engineer Ram Tah to manufacture Guardian-related technology. In a statement, Aegis asserted that its considerable resources would ensure the supply of current and future technology, while clarifying that the XG fighters would remain available from technology brokers.
Authorities in systems recently attacked by the Thargoids have issued fresh appeals for aid. Admiral Aden Tanner commented that the Thargoids were apparently ignoring key social and military targets, and stated that independent pilots remained humanity's most effective defence.

…DefianceIndustrieshas debuted his Bearcat, and it's a beauty! Wingnuts overall have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the heavy fighter, but I've always been a fan. I love the aggressive stance from the head on perspective as well as the substantial engine cluster. It's hard to have a conversation about the ship without dragging in discussion about its wide-spaced guns, but they sure look cool. We really don't get to play with the ships nearly enough, and if we ever got a game where the Bearcat got more play time, it'd probably have a different gun loadout with better beam convergence anyhow.
Oh speaking of Bearcats...This is oddly one of my favorite Confed designs, it's clearly an evolution of the Hellcat but there's some definite Excalibur influence as well. Also on paper, it's actually quite a nice fighter; she's fast, nimble, and has better shields and armor than her big sister. About
