Aegis has stationed a security force in the Meene system to protect the engineer Ram Tah.
An announcement was made by Professor Alba Tesreau:
"Ram Tah's research has been enormously beneficial to our understanding of the Thargoids, and resulted in developments that aid us in the conflict. We therefore have a vested interest in protecting his work."
"We have deployed a security force that will provide continual support while allowing Ram Tah's operation to remain completely independent. Hopefully this will prevent any further disruption."
There has been no response from the Sirius Corporation, which recently arrested a cabal of junior officers from its private fleet for launching an incursion into Meene. Li Yong-Rui, the CEO of Sirius Corp, has allegedly withdrawn his offer to work with Ram Tah on Guardian-human technology.

DefianceIndustriesDisplay Morehas finished his Exeter, and it's another beauty! The main gun and ball turrets are eye-catching, but there are lots of great details. I especially like the frontal nose shot, which really shows the weaponry off well. The aft hangar bay is also a nice touch, although it could be a bit dicey coming in for a landing while the ship is at full speed! It's
not the only shipwith a bay positioned like that though.
Ah, the Exeter, my favorite destroyer in all of Wing Commander, really in all of Sci-fi destroyers. I probably spent way too long on the hull panels, but I do like how it turned out.

Q&A: Anvil Arrow
Following the launch of the Arrow from Anvil, we took your community-voted questions to our designers to give you more information on the recently unveiled light fighter.
Special thanks to John Crewe and Stephen Hosmer for answering our questions.
What gives it the designation “Stealth” on the ship page?
This is an error on the webstore due to a mix up on the internal design page and it should say Light Fighter and has been corrected. However the Stealth part is still valid, in reference to the class of components with which the Arrow can be fitted. Utilizing stealth components could allow the Arrow to be used as a patrol craft without being seen, or in an ambush to surprise one’s enemies.
The commercial states that this ship is one of the fastest and most agile in its class. However, once you try it in game, it handles like a turtle. Is this a bug?
It is intended to

…Here are this week's major stories.
Exothelogian Dr Alfred Ulyanov has commented on the abandoned Far God outposts recently discovered in the Etain system. In a statement, Dr Ulyanov said that information recovered from the sites would be invaluable to the book he is writing with Gethin Okonkwo about the Far God religion.
Aegis has announced a breakthrough that has effectively neutralised the disruptive effects of Thargoid Sensors on starports. New procedures in the application of meta-alloys mean that extremely small quantities are now sufficient to shield systems from disruption, resulting in a cure for what was once called 'the technological plague'.
Meanwhile, several Imperial senators have spoken in support of isolationist group Nova Imperium. Senator Pal Vespasian said that Imperator Mordanticus would be invited to address the Senate and detail his policies, and gave his backing to Nova

Several Imperial senators have spoken in support of isolationist group Nova Imperium.
Senator Pal Vespasian made the following statement:
"Many of us see Nova Imperium not as extremists, but as realists. The citizenry is afraid of both Thargoid invasion and of being weakened by collaboration with foreign systems. They look to the Emperor for salvation…and she offers them none."
"We intend to invite Imperator Mordanticus to address the Senate and detail his policies. This is a historic opportunity to restore the Empire's honour and integrity."
"Furthermore, Nova Imperium's proposal to install a new Emperor has my full backing."

Here's a real cool find from LOAF's recent treasure hunting. This disc contains several Origin demos in one collection courtesy of EA in Australia. The star here is the
WC4 demo. It's quite a prize for WC collectors who are into finding all the demo discs that come with magazines and the like!
Saturday morning treasure: a demo CD from Electronic Arts Australia! EA did several of these ‘CD Shortplay’ discs for different studios. Wing Commander IV and other great games! And also Cybermage.

Display MoreIHOP is running a
Christmas specialwhere they now offer a stack of Grinch-green pancakes. Although this is kind of weird, Wing Commander fans are
acutely awarethat sometimes you just gotta
turn things green. To help kick off the holiday season,
Music_Guruhas recolored the famous flying pancake to be green to match. I kind of like it!
So... we have a green Salthi in the SNES version of wing commander... now we need a green Dralthi to match the pancakes! 8PLord help me but I love green palette swaps.

…Adm_Maverickis back with a big update on his papercraft Wing Commander fighters. He
recently sharedsome of his templates and techniques on how to make these awesome little fighters with a home printer and scrap cardboard. Now the ships have been put to good use as part of a new tabletop game that Maverick is putting together. He's spent quite a bit of time playtesting with a friend, and the shots below show off some of their space combat in action. Looks like fun! You can find an elaborate breakdown of the rules and help discuss future refinements at the CIC Forums
here.
So been a little while since I posted on this project, but wow what an update I have for it.First off, a friend and I got in basically a whole day of playtesting using some of the rules. And pretty much decided the rules needed to change.I'm just using little cardboard models I've assembled for game tokens at this point. Nothing

…From December 4th to January 3rd, we are running a promotion that will provide an additional bonus when opening a Research and Development Pack. When you purchase a Research and Development Pack from the C-Store and open it, you will receive either 10 Lobi Crystals or a Special Requisition Choice Pack - Tier 6 Promotional Ship Choice Pack in addition to the Research and Development Pack. We are excited to announce a new addition to this Promotional Ship Pack: The Vaadwaur Miracle Worker Juggernaut [T6]! While smaller Vaadwaur ships were easy to operate and acquire, the Juggernaut has been more difficult in both areas. They were salvaged at a much lower frequency than other Vaadwaur ships, and their power usage led to frequent complaints from engineers - some systems simply consumed more power to run once than any reasonable ship would generate in a year. However, continuous work on reverse

…In the run up to Wing Commander 4's release, Electronic Arts kicked off a massive marketing blitz that included
theatrical trailersbefore movies and a full court press in printed material. Highlights included its record setting budget, gorgeous live sets in the background of FMV and advanced integration with the gameplay. WC4 was popping up everywhere - even in the air! LOAF recently found this in the December 1995 of
American Way, American Airlines' in flight magazine.
"It's a movie. It's a space combat game. It's the most excitement you'll ever have on your PC."And they were right!
A few weeks ago I read an old article about marketing Wing Commander IV that mentioned they ran an ad in American Way, the in-flight magazine of American Airlines. It didn’t say what issue, so it took a bit of trial to find... December 1995! ... and if anyone wants a fat stack of old airline magazines from the eBay
