    Rabenrecht has a new tech demo in work to recreate some of the early WC1 missions in the Freespace engine using Klavs' ships. He's experimenting with the look, feel and narrative in order to create something new and fun. There are still some early kinks to work out, but you can engage with some of the development discussion here. There's also a Knossos installer if you want to give it a try. Leave your feedback at the CIC Forum! Here's a small preview video captured by Admiral Nelson:

    A couple of weeks ago I decided to try my hand at Freespace Open modding. Well, I have something to show for: a short demo of the campaign I've currently named "Vega Assault" consiting of the first two missions Enyo 1 & 2.

    What is Vega Assault?
    Vega Assault is a reimagining of the first Wing Commander campaign. It aims to provide a cohesive narative of the Vega Campaign.The WC1 campaign tree will be the framework Vega

    A spokesperson for the Moritasgus Imperial Corporation has announced that its appeal for commodities has been enthusiastically received by the galactic community. Hundreds of pilots supported the initiative by delivering commodities to Vaucouleurs Vision, and by protecting traders in the Veroklist system.

    Moritasgus Imperial Corporation spokesperson Superintendent Arnold Cochran released the following statement:

    "We are pleased that the faith shown in us by the Empire has been rewarded. The expansion of facilities means we can now safely contain some of the worst criminals in the Empire."

    Pilots who contributed to the initiative can now collect their rewards from Vaucouleurs Vision in the Veroklist system.

    AD spotted a phenomenal pair of art pieces by AEdwardBaker. He's just created a beautiful take on the TCS Victory. This test render is only available in 1080p, but there's already so much great detail in everything down to the laser turrets and weathering on the hull paint. It's really slick! You can give him feedback or check out his many other gorgeous space scenes here.

    "Yes sir. A very long history."

    It's been a month since we last checked in on Dennis Mull's latest Wing Commander finds, and he's been busy adding to the collection all the while. Up first, he's gotten ahold of a European edition of the Prophecy/Alpha Centauri/Red Alert bundle. I love the white box and colorful blended artwork on this one. He's also finally added a Pilgrim Cross to the mix. This one is in excellent condition with a all contents in practically new condition. Dennis was also the winner of a set of CIC coasters at last month's Birthday Party, so it's nice to see those go to a good home too!

Not bad at all! Keep in mind that most of those duplicate copies are actually variants of the games from different geographic regions, so this is a diverse and extensive collection!

    mull_collection33t.jpgAnd here's some love for other Origin/Chris Roberts games too!

    L.I.F. has made excellent progress in just a few short days on his TCS Victory model in From the Depths. The new shots below show the aft and underside sections coming together, so the entire exterior hull is about 95% complete now. That's pretty exciting, because it means the interesting interior bits will soon start to come together. L.I.F. has also remarked on the sense of size and scale. As a carrier, it's very big!

    fromthedepths4t.jpgfromthedepths5t.jpgfromthedepths6t.jpgfromthedepths7t.jpgfromthedepths8t.jpg

    Current stats: 2.5 million resources, 142,344 blocks. I need to finish part of the bottom and then put the bottom engineering sections as well as all engines. Then the tedious part of interior decoration will start. Expect a 200,000 blocks blueprint once I upload it.

    The most important realization for me is that Victory is BIG. It's a really, really big ship, which doesn't appear that clearly (at least it didn't for me) in the original game, considering we're mostly seeing it from

    The Founders and the Hur’q are both exceptionally old races. Odo is certain that the other Changelings know more about the deadly insectoids than they are sharing with him. He’s found a lead on an ancient Dominion station that may hold secrets the Alliance can use to defend the entire galaxy. Will everyone be ready to reveal the truth held within? “Doomed to Repeat” will be the fourth episode in our new Gamma Quadrant story arc. Characters must have already completed “The Search” to play this episode. “Doomed to Repeat” will be available to all players (Romulan players must have selected a faction). You can easily access this mission when Victory is Life is live by accessing your Mission Journal (default key ‘J’), selecting the “Gamma Quadrant” episodes tab, and choosing to ‘Hail’ your contact for the mission. We will not be preemptively announcing any other Victory

    The threat to us all is grave. Our response must be as one, or we will all be lost. In “Storm Clouds Gather,” the first mission of Victory is Life, your Captain is summoned to Deep Space Nine to participate in the one of the largest meetings of the galaxy’s powers in history. Odo has personally summoned representatives from the Alliance to the station where he once served as Security Chief to discuss the rising threat of the Hur’q. The threat is too great for anyone to face alone. Something must be done, even if it means joining forces with the Dominion. “Storm Clouds Gather” is an episode for Captains level 60 and above. It will launch with our newest expansion, Victory is Life. .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px;

    Gather your allies, and meet us in the Gamma Quadrant. We’ll need all the help we can get. The forces of the Alliance and the Dominion need serious help dealing with the Hur’q in the Gamma Quadrant. Odo’s fleet is small and spread thin. Your assistance will help the Founders resist the Hur’q onslaught and bring hope to millions on worlds throughout the Dominion. Go with Odo, Kira, and Garak to temper this new threat, and while you’re at it, perhaps you can learn a thing or two about how to stop the Hur’q. .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%;

    Greetings, First. This is Dukan’Rex, Elder First, reporting directly to our Founder, Odo. I have a special mission for you. During our last anniversary episode, Scylla and Charybdis, a fleet of Jem’Hadar ships show up with Odo to join the battle at DS9. Now see the events leading up to this battle from the perspective of an elite Jem’Hadar team. You will get a chance to outfit your ship(s), select your Bridge Officers, and prep yourself for an epic battle before heading out of the Gamma Quadrant. Turn the TIde is a Jem’Hadar only episode, required for all new Jem’Hadar characters to complete before joining a faction. It is designed for experienced players as you will start at level 60. Note: it is not a tutorial - it is not repeatable or skippable. However, you will get to conquer various enemies of the Dominion for the glory of the Founders. Remember: Victory is life! Tiffany

    ODVS has another fantastic video sample to show off. After releasing his massive enhancement to WC4 and Prophecy video, he's continued to research and perfect the craft. This has produced some impressive results from the very low res WC3 footage, and even more advanced methods for manually improving video quality further have been discovered. The results from that testing have been amazing! Check out a new sample below. This one minute clip took several hours to produce, however, so ODVS is looking for feedback on how much an improvement fans think this is over the last release. Let him know what you think at the CIC Forums!

    I've been experimenting with a new AI model and overall video workflow technique and I thought you all might like to see the results.

    This new process is far more time consuming than the previous one. As well as the new AI model, I'm actually upscaling to 4K (2160p) then
