Well, it's been two months, and I'm still not back technically...sorry guys, I'm still trying to rearrange my schedule to fit time in, between part time work and being addicted to Total War mods I'll pop in to CF from time to time, don't worry

No wait, nevermind, it's all good for now

I finally got past getting stuck at Earth...
...and now my ship won't dock with Order HQ. It just tries to reposition itself with no success. I've been waiting 5 minutes...
-
Basically, this is about the mission where
I have to escort a train convoy to the Order HQ in Sol. The problem is after the pirate attack is stopped and they take the tradelane to Earth, the convoy's AI acts completely screwed up once it gets there; rather than docking with the Earth > Mars tradelane, it decides to slowly crawl back to the planet Jupiter (without using the cruise engine, mind you) I patiently waited for it to get all the way back to Jupiter...until it decides to dick around and then go back to Earth, without taking the tradelane or using cruise engines.
Is there anyway to make the AI behave like it should?

Somewhat good news, everyone! I managed to follow Marauder's installation instructions (somehow
) and replaced the GLS server address in the freelancer.ini file, so everything's running fine and dandy.
...if a bit slower than I'd like.
-
Ok, I reinstalled it, only this time with antivirus partially off (AVG is near impossible to completely turn off) and firewall off.
And yet, I get the same thing when I get to the server screen. No servers load up. Not to mention CF downloaded the multiplayer files on the launch screen very sluggishly (normally, it would take 5 seconds, now its taking about a minute).
For the record, my uninstall/reinstall process has been uninstall FL, then uninstall CF/FLMM, reboot, reinstall FL, and reinstall CF/FLMM in that order. I doubt things have to be exactingly perfect here, but maybe I'm not doing it right?

Whenever I try to join the CF server, I keep getting this screen:
While Windows Firewall seemingly tried to block me out of the server at first, I later gave it permission. I still get an empty server screen. I also tried to use a fresh FLID. No luck. Any advice I could use?
I'm wondering if I screwed up my install (again) and have to do it all over again...

Ok Forlon, just sent you a PM on the SA forums.
Also, I heard some rumors that SA has become...shall we say...more morally ambiguous in the jobs they can take. I see Arrow listened to my previous suggestions after all

Well, to be frank, I'm bored. I'm finding my collegework this semester to be rather easy (not to mention I'm getting close to the finish point), I've nearly wrapped up my 3,572nd playthough of Final Fantasy VII, so I just remembered that I still have this place!
It's great to see all of you again, and I'll probably get back into the CF universe in a few days!
PS: Can anyone fill me in on what I've missed since I was MIA?

Okay, here's one style I'll concede the Americans can't pull off like the Germans can: the Hefeweizen. Namely:
Amazing beer.
-
dude I am a German who grew up in Belgium
THE 2 beer nations. Hf drinking your piss though
Not all American beer is Bud/Miller/Coors garbage...just to let you know
-
The day an american beer will be branded as "the best in the world" faith will be lost in humanity.
You, of course, have had Founders Breakfast Stout before, and think it sucks, right?
-
I'll... avoid that topic
Wouldn't be a bad idea
Question:
Which one is best beer in the world?
My answer toomorow
Founders Breakfast Stout or GTFO!
-
Doesn't it tells "Belgian style" on it ?
Well, I guess it is American if you say so, I had no idea that beer existedYou're from Spain, right? Flying Dog does distribute there, I do believe.
Just wondering Michael, have you ever even had an IPA (India Pale Ale) before? 'Cause Raging Bitch wouldn't exactly be a great place to start...
-
For begining recomended post no.10. and latter sw to some light beer
ITT promoting American beer to Europeans:
This one's actually pretty to easy to find in your neck of the woods (I think? All I know is that Flying Dog is one of the most popular American breweries in Europe). If nothing else, Michael, get it for the label.

I'm going to Fredericksburg, Virginia tomorrow, and I'm gonna see if I can find one of these bad boys at Total Wine & More:

ORLY?
Ball's in your court, guy.

Sup, guys, I know it's a been a while since I've been here, but seeing how much I've gotten into drinking beer, I can't help but make this thread.
I just had one of these bad boys, an Oskar Blues Ten FIDY Imperial Stout:
Best beer from a can EVER! Also the most expensive beer from a can I've ever had, at $8 a two-pack.
Anyone else enjoying some good beer right now?
