Hey there. I've recently been looking at FL servers/mods to start playing regularly on, and CF has definitely had my attention for the last few days. So far, I've got a Black Eagle and a fairly good weapon loadout. However, I'm still new on the server so I have some questions (mainly about MP).

1. "Too many players are accessing the Job Board. Please try again later". I've seen this on a few planets, and as far as I know it's a generic mission error. For some reason, this appears on some planets, yet the missions work perfectly on others. Yes, I've tried F1-ing, re-launching, everything. (Earth would be an example where I always get this error.)

2. Clans? Like I said, I'm still new here and I'm a bit oblivious to all the clans here on CF and their alignments. I've looked at the list at crossfire.swat-portal.com, but not all clans are on there.

3. Dom'Kavash weapons. I've seen people with Dom'Kavash weapons, and I know they're probably located either in Altair or in the Inner Core. But can they be purchased just like that, or do they drop from wrecks etc.? Also, how more powerful are they compared to, say, PPCs?

4. Requirements for starting a clan on CF? I'm the leader of an LSF clan looking for a server, actually that's why I've come to Crossfire. If I like it enough, I'm going to bring my clan over to CF. So, what are the requirements for starting a clan here? As in, probation period, etc.

Agreed, I had this exact same problem yesterday both at Planet Crossfire and Planet Blood. A trip to the Arena fixed it, but it's still strange.

Yes, the quests will still be present in Multiplayer. Actually, I recommend doing it in MP with a friend, it's loads of fun.

That's correct. I take it you aren't in exactly good relations with the house militaries?

This happens to me sometimes when I switch a lot of mods on/off in a short time. Try reinstalling FL, I think that should fix it.

Ah, I see now. Either way, I've found the jump coordinates that say how to get through the Nomad hellhole through to the Coalition part of Altair.

I just found the base in Sol saying the password to the CF database, but I can't find it anywhere. I really need the info too, if I'm ever gonna get through that dimensional rift thingy.

EDIT: Never mind, found the link. All I can see now though, is a map of Sirius and Altair. Nothing else?

EDIT 2: Ok, so I deleted part of the URL and found myself in a list of systems. But everything says CF 1.7...... is the info outdated?

Damn bastards... I don't get how they live with themselves playing a mod that's basically a patched-together version of every FL mod out there.

Well, with my limited experience with mods of this size, I'd say you must have miscalculated when you downloaded/installed the mod. The mod download itself is 1.3gb, but unpacked/installed it's over 2gb.
And Windows is notorious for releasing all sorts of crap on you if you don't have AT LEAST 2gb of free space at all times.
