    you'd have seen that the admin is currently working on the server, and everything will be up and running as soon as he can.

    See...THIS is one of the times that joining a clan might come in handy...
    if you had clanmates to protect you, i'd be less inclined to come after you alone.

    When starting a new character...your ship appears to be invincible until you have docked for the first time after lifting from Manhattan.


    I was able to fly straight through a mine field with 0 damage.


    I was able to fly to a certain system that holds a 9 million credit datadisk and return to Manhattan.


    Bug, or feature?

    you said you put the .dlls in the freelancer folder?


    shouldn't they go in the system folder under C:\windows with the rest of the system .dlls?


    not positive...but if that's where you're getting errors: "unable to find required .dll" then i'd try that first.

  • 1.81 crashes

    Server time was approximately 05:00...
    Individual kicks from server.
    i, and at least two other people were unable to lift to space after purchasing "illegal" goods. ie: light arms, cardamine, bmgs...


    completely quit the server, freelancer, and killed the process in task manager.


    ran MP from launcher after getting patches, and still was unable to purchase and lift.


    other commodities did not cause the problem.


    i believe i have seen reference to this before, and if someone could point me to the fix, i would appreciate it.


    also...when the player is kicked from the server, other players report that the system message indicated that the kicked player was potentially "cheating"


    does this have anything to do with the economy changing while within a particular system?


    i tried leaving the system...purchasing at another planet, with the same results...upon returning to the original system, the situation was still occurring, so i figured i'd skip the trade routes for now, and simply continue mapping.


    again, i have to say...in my first week of playing ANY online game i haven't met so many friendly helpful people as i have here on the swat CF server.


    kudos to an excellent mod, and a friendly and helpful user base and administration team.


    (call me a suck up if you must...but seriously...this is a pretty slick game or you wouldn't be here either...)

    -edit after re-reading this entire thread...i found the pointers i was looking for. i'll presume that one of the people on at the time hadn't completely relogged since the economy change.


    i recall the names that were on. i'll take it upon myself to personally inform them that they need to exit the game completely and reload from launcher...every time.

    you can BUY an osiris battleship at the CF docks in X, but i don't believe that the ships still exists as a dockable location in CF. (i could be wrong, and if so...i would appreciate being corrected)


    as far as purchasing those weapons...you might want to try another Order base that you may recall from the SP storyline...Planet Toledo.


    i don't know for sure that Planet Toledo sells that weapon...but it's my best guess.

    The Dom Kavash have created a series of hypergates, far more powerful than any mere jumpgate to allow them easy access to a far wider stomping ground.


    Some may lead to dead ends, but it's not always the player that ends up dead.

    i believe if you change it to anything except for 1.00 the server will kick you.


    if you need help getting into a better ship...check out the ships at California minor. there's a decent, inexpensive freighter that is stronger than most of the ships in liberty, and will allow you to survive to make some fairly profitable trade runs...


    find someone in game to escort you somewhere to get into an eagle...or find one on your own.


    most of the Crossfire systems sell decent VHFs for around 500k credits. class 10 guns. class 10 shields. all that jazz.



    in that vhf, it's child's play to sit and pick off xenos and sell the pods.


    find some decent weapons. the more of a punch you have...the faster they go down.
