TLR was a great Freelancer site. Then all the problems and people with huge ego problems and power hungary screwed it all up. One of the biggest loses TLR suffered and is still suffering is BP.

If your playing a MP game in Open SP or SP you will need to edit the levels that things are sold to under 40, but then if you play online you most likely will get banned for cheating unless you change it back. So if you do make a copy of the files you change then when you are ready to play online just change the name of the sp modded files to xxxSP.ini and restore the originals back.

However, I put it in because I think someone said that you can hex edit the exe to allow for it. I am not sure on that because I have never seen it done before. But if possible that would be ok.

I think 40 levels is plenty just have to mod the amount of credits and buy levels accordingly. Make lvl 40 your 2 billion and drop down to 0.

Does Swat-Portal have a way to submit files to add to the D/L's section?

Only complaint I have is I wish it was more adult looking, other then that it looks like it could be a lot of fun, and cause you to waste many hours of life on it. :]

Thats fine by me if you would correct the name that would be good as well as I was not sure to whom the letter was to go to. So I put RIP as that was what I remember you all from when on MU. I noticed after checking out the site more your mod would be the UnderVerse is that correct? I might add that I am a big fan of Riddick.

I myself must say SP. The MP for me is good I consider myself avg in MP.

I am learning MP is not so much the game play as it is the interaction with others online.
I enjoy doing missions together and helping people get started, as will as PvP in something sanctioned by the Server. Where you get a reward for being #1.
In addition, you can always go for that big kill list over at the Global Stats web site. More to do in MP then in SP that is for sure.

Just read over the letter and it all looks good, but I think you should drop Crossfire and stick with just Swat-Portal.com as other communities will think your trying to promote Crossfire over there mod. I can think of a few that would make a huge mountain out of having Crossfire in the letter. I think Swat_OP knows about whom I am thinking about.

Not to be saying this to be mean just trying to keep it neutral, and promote FL, and Swat-Portal.com as the new place to come for news, mods, tutorials, and forum for FL. Not saying to take out the part about the other games as that is brief and looks good.

I admit I am more with Aduis Place community wise then with the Crossfire community, but IMO Swat-Portal has become more then just Crossfire and is going to have to fill the void that TLR has created. This site is set up very well and I do not see why it can't pickup were TLR left of some time ago.

Well what do you all think am I out of place saying what I just said? Think about it as this is going to many other FL communities that must have there own mods already.

Reason I said Portuguese is because I will be helping make a mod for a modder form the Brazilian community. I have also played with many Brazilian players in my short MP experience. I am going to ask him about the communitys they may have in Brazil.

Just noticed you Argos are Portuguese.

On a server connecter, Crabtree made a nice tool and is very simple to use. After install, there is an ini file that you can add servers to, as well as with the program running. Reason I mentioned the ini is because maybe someone can get into the program and add many servers to the list. I am sure Crabtree would not mind adding more servers to the program, I am sure we can get his permission or maybe he might do it himself if ask to with a list of servers to add to the tool.
I use this program when the GLS was down to connect to the servers I wanted to play on.

I have this program and if you want to take a look at it Swat_OP, I will send it to you. Sorry if this is off topic.

Now on the Admin letter once a version is agreed up on I can send it to all the English FL communities, as I am limited to English language only. Someone else would have to send it to the German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc... As I have no idea how to translate this letter to those languages.

Now I am somewhat neutral with most every community I think I could send this letter to several admins. Our little community at Aduis Place has already embraced Swat Portal, Monkey Universe, and Phoenix RPG. I'm sure these Admins would be happy to know about Swat Portal.

Also might want to spell out that Swat-Portal is also posting server News and that any news they want posted will be done in a timely matter.

I myself have had a disagreement with LD in which LD was being a complete ASSHOLE sorry if that was not allowed.

So what I did to fix it was contact BP and he contacted LD which contacted me and LD & I went back and forth until I found the truth about LD. LD is a control freak I dont care much for LD in-fact I was going to make my own SDK for FL with a lot more fixes then LD and put it up for D/L and open to everyone. LD wanted to control the SDK because LD needed to know who was using it, and how often they used it. I asked WHY if your in it for the good of the community? LD why control something that about every mod uses to make mods with, which is a big part of the FL community and FL staying alive. At that point LD did not care it was LD's creation and no one was allowed to use it unless he knew about it. How LD would know who uses it is beyond me.

I wrote BP back with the E-mails received as well as the fight we had on TLR forums. Something happened and LD seemed to back off. Which I feel to this day was BP working his magic.

Now I would only agree to TLR being under BP's control, as he seems to be the one with FL community in mind.

Can you bring that to the table OP? We want BP over the TLR site and operation. I feel BP is very trustworthy myself, and a good man.

Now I know on TLR this was frowned upon for reasons I do not understand. Because it seems like about every mod out now uses a No-CD Exe in there mod. Now I know many have changed a lot in the Exe that made FL a much better game as well. Do I myself have no problem with the No-CD exe issue?

Now that is out of the way I have the Freelancer Demo and in it is the Exe file. I decided to test it out. I first had to change the numbers on the demo exe to that of the full game. I have not tried to go through the missions yet but I have run it through the opening cut scenes, which are in the demo as well.

Now I plan to play through the storyline with this Exe and see if it works. That I will test out once my New Video Card has arrived. I plan to test in online as well.
If someone has already done this please post your findings.

Now my Question is would this be a useable No-CD Exe if it works with the full game?

Now it says that the File version is 1.1.1223.11 Is this an updated Exe for the demo? The full game has File Version 1.0.1223.11

My Video card just died and I need to get a new one. I had an ATI x1600Pro 256mb. I want to get a new card but have a question.

Do the new cards that support DX10 and Windows Vista run on Windows XP and DX9?

I also have an AGP8x slot so if anyone has recommendations for my next card please post.
