Ah but did you try logging on? Were those players actually able to do anything? I think the answer to both questions is NO. Try logging on now. Oh just seen the server has noe gone completely.

There server has died again it will not anyone log on. It is not a happy bunny atm.

I can download the updates and when I launch the server appears but shows 0 players and I can't log on. It has been like this since I first tried at 7:00 am server time.

Well I like doing missions there. I did one this morning then returned to the station, selected another mission and got kicked when I launched into the mission.

Are you working on the server atm? Only it crashed 15 mins or so ago and now I can't see it.

OK so now I am totally confused. My understanding of the rules of rp must be incorrect. More and more do I see freelancers with 2 licences and clan members with 2 licences neither of the additional licences being ASF or CSF. I thought that clans had to operate under one rp licence and that applied to every member of the clan. Freelancers can operate unde more than one rp licence but each ship they use can only have one rp licence. I thought that the second slot for a licence was only for ASF CSF factions. So clans cannot be smuggler and police or merc and pirate etc. and the same applies to individual ships of freelancers. So can someone clarify the position for me please? If I am right in my understanding then UR cannot do this, if I am wrong then please explain why. Thanks in advance.

This does not fit rp licencing rules. Either you are a merc or a pirate. Solution create another character which has a merc licence.

I stopped trading because there is nowhere, with a reasonable return for the time/risks taken, to trade. Bring back the dynamic economy and we can then trade again. When we have traders, we have an element of roleplay back. I think trading to make a decent profit, at the moment using the existing dynamic economy, involves smuggling so plenty of opportunity for rp. It would be a bonus to have a non smuggling route or two so the police can make a honest crust and be attacked by pirates in the process. PVP costs money; as do events and clan recuitment, it is not all about getting to level 90.

My antivirus which is Norton, has taken this trojan problem a stage further. It no longer allows me to play the game. It just started today identifying cfwd.exe, freelancer.exe, ambientec.utf, a0645499.dll and infocards.dll all as high risk Trojans. Restoring the files is no good because it instantly deletes them. Why it has just started I do not know, I can only assume that Norton's world wide reporting system has incorporated these files as potential threats and takes immediate action against. For the time being I can't play until I can find a solution to this problem.

I just purchased a large transport and it does not have a shield or a point to mount a shield. I assume this is a bug. Sorry if this has already been reported only I could not find a reference to it.

OK. This happened to me, I think the problem was in the 1st download I made. So either I obtained an incorrect version or it became corrupted along the way. Make sure you get the correct version from the SWAR Portal and not a referral link, for example from forum like I did in the first instance. That link has now been removed. If you then follow the installation guide as suggested by Hagar and found by clicking on the link he has provided, I think you will be successful. Most important: allow CFsetup18.exe to install the mod into Mod Manager Directory. Do not cut and paste it there yourself. Also as Michael has suggested be patient with Mod Manager it takes a while let it do its job. Good luck.

I did not do a pm because I honestly thought it was a bug or an accident, and wanted to bring it to your attention OP. Anyway I have calmed down now and I realise I have to move on. I like to play fairly and absolutely detest cheating or people getting around the rules. So you can see why I went berserk. If after the BETA test we start again I have absolutely no problem with that at all. If it is a logical thing to do, it should be done either way it is your decision and I will respect whatever decision you make. I fully understand that this is BETA version and I am here as a guest. I just hope you can now understand my reasoning and why I got so upset.

Anyway as I said I have taken a cold shower and have calmed down and hope to continue to make a contribution to the role play in this excellent mod although for the time being I will probably stick to exploring.

I am annoyed not because of the money, but because I have been accused of cheating when I did no such thing. How did I do it? At the moment you can earn 39m an hour between Berlin and Stuttgart, if you are quick like Crysis 45.5m. I bought the train with the money I obtained with an APC. Now I have only been in Stuttgart and Berlin so look at my char and do the maths. I believe I have been on line about 39 hours with this char.

Why am so mad is that this could happen again. That is what I meant by no point in playing anymore. This game has many aspects. All which require credits. However, the point I am making is that if every time a few people do something wrong, everyone gets punished, what is the point of doing anything. This is so totally unfair and illogical.

Next time it could be character deletions or banning all characters for whatever spurious reasons. Come on OP please be reasonable, many of us were enjoying your production. Why spoil it all by taking across the board actions like this, I appeal to you to please reconsider your decision.
