OMG well done its been ages that ive seen such great enthusiasm and care in a game to make a bullitin this good - WELL DONE 10 out of 10....Makes me want to go in and be part of the news

Personally I think the same of Discovery as any other being here. The only reason they had such a good number of people on their server is cause of the new version they released. its always like that in humanity. If something new is about to get released, a few people start showing lots of support and try to spread the support with news and rumors etc. When the thing gets released then all of the sudden on day one its overcrowded cause the people have something new to play, look at (and drool) and then after a few weeks or months it starts getting old and the lesser loyal people start vanishing.

But also I played Discovery once recently and it didnt last longer than 15 minutes on my pc ....it just doesnt have the feel and fun of the mods made and supported by swat development imo

Wish I had access to paypal...don't even have a credit card yet let alone be old to have one. There is however 1 other thing I have, its called moneybookers. I use it to pay my EVE time, so if we find a way to pay with them then id be happy to slap in some numbers for the cause

OK so I have had the signature I use now for sometime and now I am bored of it....wondering if someone could help me by making a new one or better yet explain how I can make one myself so I wont have to ask again ^_^.

Basically I want the signature to be something similar to what my avatar is but more....enthusiastic towards my user name

Yep the Ragnarok is from FF8 - clocked that game so many times i still know everything in it inside and out

So then why the sudden problem with me? oO maybe i'm missing updates for vista or something I dont know.....this is probably just another case of ramdom willingness to work or give problems ...

EDIT: Like OP said in the same post in swat thread, Vista in combination with the virus scanner was the problem. I uninstalled AVG and restarted the pc now CF works fine.
However I dont want to go with no anti-virus just so I can play CF....is there no work around this problem? AVG saved my life many times when I got viruses. I trust no other program but it. I mean, why is it only CF gives this problem and not the other 6 online games I play? Just a thought to get a work around this....

I played CF on vista the whole time I doubt its that....

Thats all fine and dandy but I cant even get to the character selection screen let alone connect.

I dont know if making a new Profile IP ID will work but ill try. in the mean time im going out to the movies.

Well I tried the patch this morning, didn't work. So I then looked at uninstalling, deleting registry, reinstalling (the clean type I know it so well now lol) and it still says the same!

There is nothing wrong with my installation i play single player fine. I think something is wrong with my profile on the net, must be stuck or something cause as I click connect it immediately says connection to the server cannot be established or the server could be offline. It also says that I should "check my connection" Though how come if I can see the server, get ping status from it and see how many players are online, I am unable to connect to it?

I guess this is beyond my control so I shall hope that when 1.8 is released that I can connect to the server.

Read it, and Understood it. My reply to it - I have been a member of the swat community for sometime, amount of input given to the community, 0. I have grown up allot from my childish actions in ages past, seeing as I am now 19 and able to help, I want to put something in for a change. I too know of what might happen in the future but I dont want to go on with the conscience that I gave or did nothing to assist the community as you just explained.

So here is what I am capable of.

I am highly skilled in using the computer. I am very good at gathering information needed for certain things. I am a quick learner and have meddled around at trying to create my own mods and as such I think I can help there too. I am also learning how to use MIA, its basically a program that allows you to make your own models of whatever they may be.
I also like sorting things and editing posts.

At some points I also do well at being the peacekeeper. Whatever it may be, I will help. Ask it off me please so that I too can input something into this community and keep its flame brighter than ever.

K so last night I was playing fine on the CF server and now I cant connect at all. It doesnt even show attempt of trying to connect, only says sorry but the server is either offline or check if your connection is working. Yet I see that there is 11 players online and that im getting a refresh rating on my ping constantly. I also noticed how the luancher downloaded the ussual things before letting me play multiplayer......so any suggestions as to what is wrong? or is the CF server bussy with something?
