hmmm i dont know about toolbars like that for other browsers however, firfox has the ability to create its own links. It sits right above the tabs you open. Simply copying a url and pasting it into this section will make a link with your selected icon and vuala, instant action. Almost like a favorates link but different.

Also dunno if you guys know about it but if you want a good online radio, then eve-radio is the one to try out

Besides, its been more than 2 years now that cf 1.8 has been announced for release. Though MANY MANY MANY people are tired of waiting, the wait will be worth while. Think about it, if OP and the dev's (the little amount that there are) didn't post feedback about this major project, then it would be a silent mod and no one would even be interested in swat anymore meaning when they release this UBER COOL mod, no one would know why they should get it

Besides, the fact that the FIRST beta test has been done means allot imo. Now they can show us what still needs to be done and we get a rough estimation (in our minds) how long we will still wait. So if you have a proper mind to do the math, then you will know that the mod still has much that needs tweaking, fixing and adding for its full potential so i will work on both old and new pc's.

SO without further adoooo, let us continue showing our support since most of us are unable to help them complete it. So far all I have noticed from 75% of the new comers to cf are just criticism. If you want the mod to finish faster then please by all means, let OP know that you are a great coder and are able to assist in the making of cf and he will see what you can do to help out. Otherwise shush about your criticism, only give advice and support and please be kind to the dev's and the community.

PS. Keep up the good work OP ;), I am really still amazed at the amount of work and effort you put into this mod along with the help of some of your dev's and friends. If you need someone for a voice acting scene, let me know

WELLLL OP you have 1 point there, however cheats can be blocked The source codes would help allot, especially for you I think. Think about it, the ability to manipulate the entire FL stucture. (not saying you havent done that already though xD- looks at cf1.8's progress)

However if forcing your motivation is what you want then what I would do is think about the community. Though its not recommended because then the mod will feel like a job to you and as I recall correctly, its more of a hobby than a job for you 8), so, step back, relax (with some popcorn) and enjoy some break time

Pfft - OP i just have 1 thing to say. Stop this good guy routine with all mods are good and stuff and take the credit you deserve. CF is the best freelancer mod out there because you put the most effort into it. not to mention the most time, the most love, care and respect to it. You built it and expanded it within a great community and without further adoo, as I see no other freelancer mods show such a massive dedication, CF wins the overall vote.

CF rules, all other mods are second......with discovery 3rd and last in my books mainly cause I never liked it due to online stupidity serverwise ^^.

Though all changes are good - I want to know if serverwise Cf will get many more improvements. Such as massive pvp battles that can last up to 3 hours or more etc. that wont make the server crash xD

I ask this cause tbh, I caused a few server crashes myself by challenging players to come together for a massive pvp which sometimes lasted 2 hours until SP came to stop us - hehe

Edit: Also I am guessing that CF will still not have lan capabilities? Cause I still wouldn't mind to be able to show off CF 1.8 at a 700 man lan here that I do ever month Point being I cant show it off if people don't feel the pvp side of it for themselves and I think a 700 man lan is at least a good place to get about 100 people to play CF and possibly join online play afterwards cause they liked it

OOHHHH YEA - see in 1.8 there is plans already made where we will have to make billions of credits to buy 1 piece of an ultimate weapon - and thats just an example All things are going to be made more expensive to keep to how much money you can make quickly, but still take a while. Just guessing this after all the changelog ive seen on 1.8

Pfft - here is your solution - get windows 7 RC edition OR the released one when it comes out then try installing cf for online play ^_^. gives me no problems in 7 except for giant fonts lol

Well in the past I have said that I would love to help out with something that would help the cf community out (such as forum policing or improvements), just never got any replies. And btw I did finally get a job, as stated, once I get the amount of money I want, then I shall donate some to the CF community. This is something I have always wanted to do and something I will do. As stated thought, it would be cool if the mod is released before the end of the year....a Cristmass special if you will ^_^.

BTW - that so called fact about people leaving causes of new release dates, its all false imo. The only reason I'm not playing it atm is cause I cant get the in game font to work nicely in windows 7

Hmmm.....I think you have had such a thread a long time ago. But this one is mine - my own ^_^. One to share with you and the public

It's purpose? To hasten the release of something I fear to not see at all.

Why do I make a thread about it instead of PMing? Cause I feel many other people would like to know the same, feel the same and want the same. So I am taking the liberty of doing this.

You see OP, its one thing to look at all the good screenshots of your work and all the excellent video captures to make us drool some more But life is changing constantly, time is moving faster and we don't know how tomorrow will be.

I have been with the CF community mostly only on forums for the past 5 years (if I'm not mistaken) and I have always closely observed every post in this forum Thus it brought me to this somewhat major request. Make a deadline for 1.8 to finish it and release it. But a deadline that isn't too long There is 6 months of this year left and every month that goes by this same question is asked time and time again but now I understand why

Because of my coming future I don't know if I will even be able to afford a pc let alone a place to live by next year January. And as each passing day goes by where I struggle to get a job, I still find time to relax on the pc or with friends at the comfort of my own room under my parents roof. But it all comes to an end and that is what people fear. That is why people ask if CF 1.8 cant release sooner. Because they know your work is excellent and that your mod will undoubtedly be fun and relaxing for many months or more to come.

Likewise I think that much can be said about the community. Some communities even feared your work and your mod releasing because they know that its so awesome and that they most probably will be losing players to you, thus they tried to slow you down (I also think every mod has its strengths, I am just posting from their point of view)....they probably succeeded, is my guess. But, months have passed after the release of their mods and CF 1.7 still plays. No CF 1.8 yet ..... (which is why I didn't understand why they continue attacking, they failed to notice that CF1.8 would take a long time to release)

I guess all I can say is ... look at 3D realms as an example. "it will release when it's done" .... 12 years later they are still trying...and fail to admit they cant finish it.

I don't want to wait that long (as an example) for cf1.8 . Like I said I don't know if I will even live next year. No one knows, thus I ask kindly. Set a release date for before the end of this year (if possible - end of August or October). Cut things that wont make the release date out and put it in 1.9's change log instead. End the torture that I bet most other members are experiencing such as me Make this release date be the final and true release date.

That is all from my side I guess, probably going to be flamed also I am going to kick myself in the ass if you actually wanted to surprise release it next month but, by what I'm guessing, it wouldn't even reach that mark, also another reason why I made this.
