    The Titan, Sabre, Eagle ships are the "top" freelancer vanilla ships... They are indeed pretty strong and "cheap", which makes them
    a good intermediate class to purshase when starting, and will help you to reach more easily areas where you can find "better" deals.


    The hull armor amount is certainly an important data, but with more experience you will find out it may not be all to look at, specially
    for PvP fights ;)

    "Standart procedure" would be to create a new character with your "updated" name,
    and transfer your equipment and money from your previous character with the help
    of another player.
    Unfortunately there is no way to prevent to loss of the mapping (although you may
    find many sources around providing CF maps to help you "redo" them).


    As for the reason... it avoids server problems:

    I am thinking we have had a new wave a players starting to play CF recently (like within less than 6 monthes).
    Those people may never had heard of what is called "common rules", and some bad examples may not have
    convinced them to play "old school".


    Thus ending up on the server with several different behavior "codes".
    (basically: "old" honor code vs. use of "anything not clearly prohibited by rules" ?)


    Result: Everyone is confused.


    Mourning about old days will not get us anywhere though.
