    Thanks for he info Martind!

I'll be giving a go for MP sooner or later for sure. Will study a bit more the MP in general here in the forums and see what seems the right way for me to participate.

And I'm sure you're right, a good humiliation in the 'hands' of a seasoned space combat veteran is a great motivation to practice & learn more PvP lol :D Curious to see how things work in the MP anyway!

Oh yeah, that sure makes sense. :vinsent:

I was thinking there might be some foxy way to work with the combination of War'sys and Ther'hons mounted simultaneously that I hadn't figured out yet hehe.

Low and behold Friends - I got the mission working!

And my bad, it was actually mission 37 (named: "Houses United"), not 38 as I initially said.

I'll try to describe what I did differently this time compared to when it didn't work, just if this happens to help someone.

So the previous cpl of times I had the problem, I did not restart from the actual "Mission 37" savegame but a savegame that I made just after initiating the mission. In this savegame I had (after meeting Juni at Manhattan planet bar) visited the equipment dealer and the accommodities seller at Manhattan prior to launching to space as the mission objective requires.
On the way to Kyushu, I had cpl of minor scuffles with some factions I have negative rep with so reaching waypoints was slightly delayed on that part. Also, as Silverfox pointed out above (Thanks for that!) I did lose contact wih Juni & King briefly on the way (entered a tradelane very quickly so that they were +15K behind me and did the Jump to Kyushu before they were right next to me).

Now what I did differently when I got the mission working:
    - I restarted directly from the "Mission 37" savegame
    - Visited equipment dealer and accommodities seller prior to talking to Juni in the bar
    - Skipped all combat on the way to Kyushu
    - Made sure both Juni & King were right next to me all the way

I finished the SP campaign yesterday and oh boy, what a handsome ending battle was waiting there! :herz::sehrgut:
I want to thank the whole Swat-portal team once again for the Crossfire mod - Keep on rockin' guys :neo::thankyou: Gave my support to you at modDB on 'mod of the year' -vote before.

I'll be doing what I can to hone my skills in the cockpit and perhaps one day I'll meet some of you at the MP servers. :daddeln::D

Thank you Thomas CF1 & Martind Forlon :sehrgut:

@Thomas_CF1 - I considered using the tradelane to reach the mission waypoint faster the 1st time I arrived to Kyushu in this mission, actually the very reason I did not and chose to 'cruise' to the destination was that I wanted to make sure not to do anything that could mess up the script or cause problems in the gameplay. So unfortunately, this will not solve the issue.

Martind Forlon - Thanks a lot! I will try the file you uploaded and I will upload my savegame file for you to test. Allow me latest until tomorrow to do that as I'm not physically at the same location as the PC I use to play CF wih currently.

    Hi LordraydenMK,

    Thanks for the response.

Yep, I did follow all the waypoints in proper order, without skipping any/taking alternative routes. I had the mission waypoint "battleship Osiris" in Kyushu active when the cinematic starts and then just jams.

Any ideas what to try to be able to proceed?

    Hello Pilots,

    Thanks Apache!

By the time I reached Inner Core the first time, I had figured out this (that I call..haha) T.E.R (Thruster - Engine kill - Reverse) technique to get away from unwanted/too tough opponents. Perhaps it's my Viking blood that makes me enjoy a full blast crazy-ass combat havoc in the outer (or inner) rims of space and I couldn't resist the temptation to test myself against these pretty challenging (for me) new opponents, hence the need for the extensive autosave use in IC.

Now that I'm wiser I'll take a different approach (at least until I have a solid manual savegame :D ). Just as a side note my DK rep is maxed out positive already lol. :sehrgut:

Thank you for clarifying this Martind Forlon & SWAT_OP-R8R.

It sure makes sense now. Great to know so I can ensure/plan to avoid autosave usage. And I believe I've found a good spot in my CF journey to continue from too hehe :musik:

    Thank you Martind Forlon:thankyou:
By "messing with the campaign script", do you mean e.g. what I described in my point 3.above - Initializing a mission but then declining to actually start it and going for 'free exploration' somewhere else than the mission points to?

If that's what you mean, I have certainly done it. The reason for this is that I didn't want any 'sneak peeks' / spoilers on what is to come in the campaign. In other words I did not want to know what's coming and thus could only make the decisions on my next moves after seeing in gameplay where the next mission asks me to go.

For the CF mod installation - I followed the instructions from Swat Portal, activated only the CF 2.0 mod and let the activation finish without tampering with anything else in the meanwhile. I have not encountered any other odd issues than this during the SP campaign play. Although there's something I forgot to mention before; The "Mission 13 :Toledo" savegame suddenly appeared into my savegame list after the Mission 29 and Mission 33. I mean there were duplicates of this mission 13 savegame in the list of all available savegames that were 'dated' after the aforementioned missions 29 && 33. That was weird but seemingly did not affect anything..

    "did you used anytime "autosave"?

Yes I did, after entering IC and being unable to make a manual savegame (prior to finding my way to DK systems) I used autosave many times when battling against Savages, Warriors and other Dom -races as I was blown to pieces more than once or twice.

Now that I know to avoid using "autosave", I certainly will.

Thanks again for shedding light into this issue Forlon! :salutes

    Hi Everyone,

Referring to my earlier talks with Swat_OP R8R, I left IC (inner core) as suggested and made my way to Dervon for blasting some Ancients to improve my rep with DK (Dom'Kavash). It seems something is out of place as after shooting down ~20 Ancient drones my rep with DK has not improved at all.

Following is a quite a rant, I appreciate anyone who has the interest and patience to read the whole story :applaus:

I'll try and give summarized details of my CF journey in the following for someone wiser than me to be able o point out what could be wrong:

    1. I play CF 2.0 SP campaign with "ENB Standard" shader option, install file downloaded from Swat Portal, all the latest updates installed. Since starting the campaign I have not changed any general gameplay options and played with 'Average' difficulty level all the way.

    2. During the campaign I have not visited any of the new CF systems until they have been revealed to me in the SP campaign (e.g. new systems conneccted to X-3043).

    3. Here's my journey in nutshell after first arriving to the GMG hypergate in Omega 3 system (mission 31-32?) : I declined to go to IC (and start the mission)the first time I arrived to Omega 3 hypergate as I wanted to explore Altair sector more prior to IC missions. So I went to Sol -> Styx (got Nomad action I was unable to avoid, this perhaps had negative effect to my DK rep) -> Mandar -> did pretty extensive Altair/Coalition systems exploration (did not shoot any DK during this time) -> returned to Sirius -> Utopia -> Dervon for 2nd meeting with Ancients (shot down a few drones but again couldn't avoid Nomad action in Utopia..) -> finally back to Omega 3 hypergate -> through IC systems in order of the mission waypoints laid out (shoot down some Dom'N, Dom'R, Warriors and Savages) -> started missions 33 & 34 with the DK -> got stuck with mission 34 'Device' coz of the rep with DK -> tried to kill some of the other 'Aliens' to improve DK rep -> Got feedback from Swat Portal to shoot Ancients to improve DK rep -> Left IC via Phanchdar hypergate -> through Altair to Yakutsk and via dimensional anomaly to 'Unknown" (had to shoot some Nomads again - DK rep suffered a bit) and Omicron Gamma -> to X-3043 via Omicron Alpha.
At this point (after reaching X-3043) I realized that oddly factions that I have maxed out negative rep with (CSF, Outcasts, GC etc.) appeared 'neutral' in my ship scanner/radar and did not become hostile to me unless I attacked them. I then went to Dervon to shoot down the Ancients and the drones also show up 'neutral' in my scanner even my rep with Ancients is almost maxed out negative (-9). As mentioned before, after merking about 20 Ancient drones my rep with DK is unchanged. :vinsent:

As you probably understand, I'm reluctant to reload back to original 'Dervon mission' as there is pretty extensive gameplay between that mission and my current savegame. :pfeifen:

So Dear seasoned vets and CF gurus & anyone who might be able to share tips. help or ideas for solutions, your feedback is most welcome. :thankyou:

May the Force be with ya'll!

    [edit:system name X-3043 corrected]

@Apache, Thanks mate - In the original mission to Dervon (Missions 29-30 I think..?) I merked 5-6 Ancients as far as I remember. I did shoot down some Dom'K before that in Altair as I had cpl of Dom'K Annihilators already in weapon arsenal at this point.

You suggest reloading back to the orginal Dervon mission (first contact with the Ancient drones), do you think it's possible the reputation is somehow 'locked' with Dom'K after I have already started the IC missions (particularly missions 33-34 as is the case with my current save game)? See my following post for more info.

    Thanks for the input!

    Thank you Swat_OP R8R :salutes

You're right, correction my reputation with Dom'Kavash is neutral (they are not hostile to me) - but on negative side just enough for me not being able to purchase anything from em'.

Off to Dervon then, I assumed the IC factions warring with Dom'K would be counted as their 'enemies' and so improve my rep among the Dom'K but apparently this is not the case.

And thanks again for the Crossfire game!

    Hello Fellow Pilots!

So, I have reached IC and Dom'Kavash space with 'average' difficulty flying VHF Chimera with added armor class 4 and decent weaponry.

    SPOILERS AHEAD

My question is; how to improve my reputation with Dom'Kavash?

After reaching Dom'Kavash space in IC I realized that I can't proceed on Chapter 9, mission 33 - "Device", as my reputation with Dom'Kavash is -3,5 (negative, should be max -3 negative to be able to purchase anything from Dom'K) and I can't buy the crystal I should get from Crallard system - 'Smonkves Breeder' equipment dealer.. I thought this should be simple to fix (as long as I can stay alive haha!) by shooting down some of the factions warring with Dom'K in the IC. But but, after managing to put down 5-6 wings of Razaks, Warriors and Savages (and I do find this pretty challenging, if there are 1+ gunships or bombers in the wing I'm dead a lot of the time..) I was pretty mind-boggled to find out my reputation with Dom'K still being exactly the same; -3,5. I checked earlier save games to confirm and yes, the reputation is the same -3,5 all the way from the beginning of my IC endeavours..

So am I really missing smth here or just being generally retarded?:ahahaha: Or can this be some sort of error/bug?

Any help or tips are appreciated, thank you all who are contributing to this game/community!

    Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for the responses.

@SWAT_OP-R8R - Yep, Q#2 was solved by unticking the Open SP in the launcher.
Thanks, I'll try to fiddle more with both the game interface texture settings and the graphic driver settings to find a solution.

@SilverFox - I did not try the lower res, or the res you suggested (1366x768x16), will give it a go. Yes, the texture issue appears both on the TV screen and the laptop screen.

I'll be posting here should I find a solution, Thanks again!

    Thanks Silverfox.

Q#1 I've tried all shader options before, CF runs with VanillaFL, NoSelect & the ENBs but has this graphical issue as described in my original post.
The game starts up but then crashes/closes before the CF main menu screen with SweetFX, FXAA, SMAA shader options. Any ideas?

    Btw if I try this:

    Quote

Uninstall the SweetFX version installed with Crossfire 2.0. Download ReShade + SweetFX 2.0 here. This works with Windows 8 and with all my games, just make sure you select the correct Direct X level. Then head on to the creator of ENB and download this. (This is optional) it is a DX8 to DX9 converter for DirectX 9 effects.

Is re-install of CF likely needed in case it doesn't work? I'm a Noob :pfeifen:

Q#2 Alright thanks, but I should be able to play both the original FL campaign (missions 1-13) and the new CF campaign missions with CF 2.0 installation? Currently it's not happening. But I'll try a new single player campaign launch and see if anything changes.
Just thought to report this issue in case there's anything to learn from it.

    Hi Thomas_CF1,

    Thanks for the response.

Just to clarify, I have windows 10 and I believe I have the "adjust to desktop resolution" setting on (have to dbl check later as I'm not where my laptop is now ;) , I run the game on a 40" LCD TV with 1920 x 1080 x 32 res. I'm no expert but it seems to me the light particle effects/textures are not loading properly for some reason.. Can you/anyone suggest settings that would affect that particularly?

For Q#2, currently not even the 1st original FL single player campaign mission has started and I believe it should have (Don't remember accurately how the original campaign ran, as it's a while since I last played FL). In any case I have had 0 cut scenes, messages, mission logs or anything prompting me to take on a campaign mission. Perhaps I'll have to just start the single player campaign again and see if there is any difference to my current game.

First and foremost, Thank you SWAT team & all involved for the CF mod on one of my all time favorite games! Awesome job!

I have 2 questions not related (I believe) to each other but posting here as Q#1 is relevant for the topic.

I did clean install of FL -> followed instructions to install & activate CF and added my video card (NVIDIA GeForce 940M) to the flconfigdatabase.txt as advised.

Now the CF runs with VanillaFL, NoSelect and the ENBs but I have similar issue on all: All the light effects/particles on e.g. trade lanes, ship engine exhaust and system central stars show up as rough square or rectangular textures.. This is particularly disturbing in combat but of course severely affects the - oh so - beautiful ambience of the game.

I have tried adjusting multiple settings on my video card but nothing changes this at all. So, is there anyone who could help Please???

Q#2: I started new single player game to again (though it's years since I last played the game) go through the original campaign and then continue to the new CF campaign. My character started from planet Manhattan as supposed, the character being lvl 18 (I think) and with hefty added money (~150.000k). Now I thought that the campaign missions will start rolling after cpl of 'freelance' jobs but I advanced to lvl22 without a sign of any plot starting. cpl of times I would see "Mission" on the character info screen as a prerequisite for advancing levels but no plot events or logs would come in and I could actually just take another job from the bar and this 'Mission' prerequisite would simply disappear. I guess this is not supposed to happen.

Now have I totally missed something or is this some kinda bug? Can someone please enlighten me?

Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who responds.
