Thank you m8, I did dedicated a lot of log hours in there
European Artifact search pattern was different than USA. And collecting artifact could sometimes be tiresome and boring but othertimes rewardly. In the USA version, artifact spam (when i use to hunt them) was from 65k to 90k from 0,0,0 coordinate. What we did was establsihed waypoints around 0,0,0 coordinates depending on the number of players searching to cover that sphere. The waypoints goes from 15-24 for 1 player to 9-12 for 3 or 4 players. Many artifacts were usless by the time I played (such as UCs) but them Themis invented a mambo jumbo reason to use UCs to create repair beams, especial factories and so on. Now, some artifacts were pretty worth, especially the PCE, which place on an Octavian heavy fighter ship, it give you an speed edge. Also high AB type give better thruster (Afterburn) These artifacts originated a black market where the highest PCE was bought at a price non less than 100 million credits and a high AB was valued at 125 millions credits. The right equipment & ship to hunt artifacts were:
Ship: Ranger (any faction) still the fastest ship in game 500 something
radar: Sentinel
DL: Rotacol
RE: Displacer
The best contribution for arti-hunting an mining was made by Morgan and Myquant from the european site. They created JGRot which still an active tool these days and have been adapting to new JG features. One of the best search patterns is from Quor´x
Quantars always have the edge in USA for arti-hunting and mining but there were some Sol really good too. The most benefict for arties equipment were Octavians. For hunting flux, arti-ship were used a lot(an state of the are machines) For PvP, arti-ship were not regularly used it cause if you die, you lose all your equipment and start with the basic/newb equipment.
Wooow...apologies, i could keep going and going about those golden days
eventhough i still active, my old buddies are gone...just 2 or 3 people still there and they dont go online regularly. Indeed, people interrelationship are one of the most important part in any multiplayer game
