    Lashan use the Freedom fighter online for a long time. She went in and out of Altair with the ship. Maybe she can give some more info about the ship.


    As for myself I used th AT for almost 15 hours (5 with 1.6 and 10 with with 1.61) online on both versions and extensively visit several systems and I never got kick for cheating out of the server.


    About the kick to descktop this rare thing happen to me occasionally with any ship (3 different types)but in freeport 7 but rarely. Maybe the ships are not the problem...

    PS: I use Freedom fighter for SP in 1.6 for the whole SP campaign and didnt have any trouble. I tried to modiied stuf to speed up things but CF didnt let me so I think the anticheat also works offline :D

  • Babylon 5 Ive found her

    To create a game need time and a good team project willing to give that time and that is difficult to find these days, especially if the first one would be a freeware. But again, there are guys like the evochron creator that create and sell small games like this to finance his projects. Couldn`t you, m8 OP, do that? However, Im not sure how viable is this :)...


    About Babylon V "I found her", they already finished an almost new project :D There are other projects around that I have played and tested too and made me think also if we get a nice team project in SWAT, we could do something nice ;) Of Course, OP would have to work on the main game engine cause he has the designing & programming skills for that and that is a painful, time consumming, hard job...


    Anyway, this is an idea and a dream, but who knows. Even could be with a multiplayer option :D

  • Stupid idea wasnt it?

    That would be always the trouble to start new things from old ones. FL will be death soon cause people think nothing could be achieved anymore. My first experience in modding was because of people like HCl Brito with the wing commader missions. People that create Babylon V "I found her" and so many other projects like the Vega project, Geminis project. Before I came to CF, I was trying many mods in the FL community and I still test some others out there from time to time, but none could match the balance and creativity found here. Dont get me wrong, there are a lot of good newcomers modders out there that still working on really nice concepts ( like the Beta for FL in real dynamic space motion) but then they get discouraged cause of the lack of support. One thing is to be nice and another to be helpful. Sometimes people thinks that by being nice they are being helpful and at the end it shows that is completly the opposite. Since 2004, lancersreactor lost their ways maybe because the old blood thinks is over and they dont have the time anymore.


    And yes, maybe it was stupid to go there but at least you tried (no offense m8)

    What about soulseek?if you still have a high bandwidth, it will be anoter way to give OP the file a fast rate...


    Anyway, it is just an idea. Also, shouldnt have the installer some compression too???

    Do you know what is need to do some code of anything. Especially if you didnt design the original code. If you dont have the experience, forget it cause no matter how hard someone could try to explain you, art the end, you will do nothing. And when I mean coding I dont mean using freelancer explorer tool.


    Anyway, as it was said, 70-80% of the bugs work out so no need to rush. Just follow the actual rules of no using what is bugged (which was written in plain and simple english) and let the man be.

  • Server hardware

    Endurance and realibity are also one of the best points for the Opteron. AMD has exceed expetations with this 64 bits chips.


    From my extensive reading on both cpu and chips architecture, Opteron will be the best choice overall. But some specific purpose (short time reliability) P4 is better in some small specific aspects. The question would be how long would I stick with one choice from the other one?


    Option 4 seems the best so far keeping same expenses.
    But Option 5 is best for cost/productivity ratio if we have the money :D So for 5, is everyone willing to help would be another good question
