i believe vagrant could, last time i looked at server stats he had in the area of 850 mil... but anyways, yea if you escape we will pursue as far as we can... if we scan you with it and you drop it... we cant do anything b/c there is no evidence, however we will find it and blow it to space dust. =D

and illegal cargo? well, as of right now its cardamine, and BM goods... give me a day and there will be a new thread with what are considered illegal. for now its BM goods and cardamine.

ok, after checking back on a few things... i dont know why I... yes I was culprit bringing up the license issue... i say we just pitch the license thing down the drain.

ok maybe the license is a bit much, in fact i dont even recal why the license issue was even brought up.

wavey, the idea behind the fine or die isnt really what it sounds like. its when we catch someone with illegal cargo they have 3 options:

1. Pay a fine in respect to their level and how much they are carrying
- if the fine is paid then the smuggler is allow to go on about their illegal business
- if the fine is paid CFPD will no interfere with the smugglers business for 1 full hour

2. drop all the illegal cargo and leave the system
- Upon dropping the cargo CFPD may confinscate it or just blow it into space debri infront of the offender

3. if you refuse to pay the fine or drop the cargo, then you pick option C
- CFPD will fire upon you and completely obliterate you and your illegal cargo

that was the official CFPD mandate as of earlier this week. at this moment the penalty for carrying illegal cargo is nothing, as CFPD is on a stand down from law enforcement issues. IF CFPD resumes its law enforcement duties the options stand at:

1. Drop cargo and leave the area
2. Death

its not pirate like activity, what are we supposed to do? tell them that they are bad and let them go on? if we only had the two options ... fine or death... whats wrong with that? i mean, what if the didnt want to pay the fine? again, do we just tell them that they are bad and let them go?

i think there are more than plenty of us who are willing to help with the cost... i know i am.

personally, i say option 5... best... BUT, thinking smarter i say option 4, same money better parts. onoy reason i say 5 is because its a dual core amd and they are one hell of a processor. i do think that they are screwing you for having to pay the setup fee again. but i think that for 1-2 days of downtime and the same price it would be benefitial to switch to the new hardware.

its understandable that if you are active in the asf/csf war then you have that license... because an opposing faction should attack them anyways, so you dont have to worry about job licenses. and we all should know what role each clan has, be it pirate, military, police, or whatnot. the biggest thing is that this is an RP server, and if you dont want to RP then, well, to frigging bad b/c thats what the rest of us are here for!!! if you are committing acts of piracy, or smuggling illegal goods then you run the risk of having the police on your tail. as the biggest cliche in law enforcement history goes... IF YOU CANT DO THE TIME, DONT DO THE CRIME!

i think it needs to be a server rule that all chars must have a license... be it pirate, merc, police, military or whatever... the license slot should have to be filled so we know the intentions of the player.

at this time Pandora, we are standing down from law enforcement, we are only going to protect tarsus and assist when asked if we deam it necessary.

my only thought is that minus a few misunderstandings this is just a thread to show RP at its best... pirates pirating and victims being pyst off about it. as far as shooting first, there are three sides to that one (all in favor of)

1) Shoot first is a warning shot, so shooting first is ok

2) If they shoot AND hit you ... then you cant f1 to avoid a tax b/c you'll get hit with a penalty fine anyways, so for a pirate to hit you first or every few seconds is actually job security in my pov.

3) if they want to just blow you up... then fine. thats what pirates do. as long as they dont break server rules i see no problem in the way LP or any other pirates behave.

i will hunt them down when needed (as soon as i get a hunting vessel) and i fully understand the risk i run when trying to rebuild the CFPD that i may be taxed.

anyways, lets just all remember that we are all here to have fun and RP.
