What I mean by "so much data" is all the times in between each "hops". I don't see any times, I just see three * and then: Request timed out.

Oh and Wavey, I have no idea what causes this because, as I said, I have no problems connecting to the server. Maybe its just the Windows Firewall that won't let me, or OP's firewall which blocks pings... I dunno. Whatever it is, its not preventing me to play on the server.

Its not "sealed"... At least I don't think it is...

Last night I passed through on my way to Rheinland on board my Train, and I even stopped for half an hour to help out two newcomers who had many, many questions.

    I didn't get into trouble... :D

Thats odd, I'm performing the tracert right now, and I'm getting: Request Timed Out, all the time...

Yet I don't have connection problems, and the server is up and running with 38 players on... ?(

Edit: Okay here are the results from the tracert and ping.

    C:\>tracert 87.106.22.90

Tracing route to s15216348.onlinehome-server.info [87.106.22.90] over a maximum of 30 hops

    1 * * * Request timed out.
    2 * * * Request timed out.
    3 * * * Request timed out.
    4 * * * Request timed out.
    5 * * * Request timed out.

    (And so on until 30)

    Trace complete.

    C:\>ping 87.106.22.90

Pinging 87.106.22.90 with 32 bytes of data:

    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.

    Ping statistics for 87.106.22.90:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% Loss)

Weird huh? And yet im able to connect to CF server perfectly, and I rarely get lag. ?(?(?(

Oh and btw, how come you got so much data, Gerby?

    I couldn't agree more. X(

But its OP's decision, so we have to do as OP says... (except jump off a bridge and senseless stuff like that, in case someone wants to be a smartass and post it).

Seriously, one of my (large) source of income is now cut down further... I don't really trade in NY, but I have to go through most of the time. Might as well get rid of all Trains and Transports... Mine is taking on dust sitting outside Station Hope at the moment. [3]

You mean dockable for trains? :D

Oh this is going to be so awesome if OP does that.

*Thinks of all the things he can trade* :D

    *Thinks of Sidewinder* [19]

A warm welcome to CF! Contact any CFPD, BG or IOC member when online for help. Or any Serverpolice.

We will be glad to help you. :))

A few infos on clan owned systems can be found here , as well as a nice map.

The best solution is to go read the rules about each system, but in general you are allowed to trade when you are below level 40. If you want to pass, or enter, its always better to ask and saves you hassle. :D

Best of luck, see you online. ;)

Dopp, care to send me that oh-so profitable Sol Run traderoute by PM? :D

If you want I can pay you online for the info... Just ask for a price and we'll do a deal. :P

And I have to agree, if you are a trader, you always look for the most profitable route there is and then use and abuse it. If it happens to be in NY, I say its fine! Why prevent others from making a living?

The only troublemakers in NY are the experienced players who camp there and/or take cover there when they are being pursued. Period.

I say, leave the traders out of this. :))

Actually, they usually aren't that hard to fight. I think if they "jump around" like you say, its because of lag, and a way to help that is to disable all applications (not the background ones, unless you are sure you can disable them) but no apps like WMP, MSN Messenger, Aim, Skype, XFire, TS and so on. And disable Steam if you have it. My computer once froze because Steam had started an update in the middle of my game...

And if you don't use any of these apps whilst you play, well then maybe its time you get a better internet connection? :D

Yep, at 150,000 a piece, they are the best.

Otherwise, kill the Midnight Hammers from the CSF, those are worth 200k :D .

I agree 100%! Lift the no-damage zone from NY! [8]

Yeah, plus where is Planet Vernon anyways??

I suggest we get a team together and dedicate each to a system or a category (bases, planets, ships, weapons, etc...) whatever needs a better infocard.

I propose myself to help doing that. More specifically weapons. :D

Or if you play online, just go to a quiet corner of space and logoff there. It will save your last position so that when you come back you will be where you left.

Just don't save in areas where there are enemies around just in case and not in areas with radiation damage, unless you don't mind being fined 100k everytime you logoff... :D

No, not just to you :P

I want to blast campers out of NY too! [50]

    :D

I must be very lucky, because I always get a stable 45-60ms ping (according to the FL server browser), and when I am playing online, I rarely feel lag.

But yes, Gigantula does cause some lag because during the ASF/CSF fight over California at the beginning of the week, I had a yellow lag icon going on and off. Also, he is just a troublemaker who won't listen to the rules. During the fight, Gigantula asked BG_Magoux (who was fighting!) for a 1 million credits tax...

First of all, he should not have been there (and Magoux had to ask several times for him to leave before he actually did), and second of all, if he truly was causing lag, he should've been kicked because the server gets unstable when large amounts of players are in one system.

I recon he should be banned temporarily until his connection is truly fixed.
