On further inspection of the Hard Drive I found that the plastic L joint on the sata port on the Hard Drive was broken.
So I fixed it with the following, epoxy, thermal paste cleaner and a upside down L joint sata cable.
I found this method out by accident, lol.:D
I was trying to hold in the old sata cable at a 90 degree angle so I tried gluing the sata cable on top of the old sata Hard Drive with epoxy which didn't work and some of the epoxy had fallen onto the sata port on the Hard Drive. I then waited for it to go slightly hard then cleaned the pins on the sata port on the old sata Hard Drive with thermal paste cleaner (expensive not cheap stuff) and tried my other sata hard drive's upside down L joint sata cable and I'll be damned it worked!!!!
So I grabbed a new upside down L joint sata cable, stuck the other in my new current sata hard drive and put the new upside down L joint sata cable in the old sata Hard Drive and luckily both sata Hard Drives are now detected but I am free standing the old sata Hard Drive without being screwed in, just being held by the lower Hard Drive bay and the extra length of the cables shoved on top of the old sata Hard Drive.

It could just be the sata port on the Hard Drive is broken, so a new control board should do the trick.:)
Edit:lol I be damned the sata port or L-tab on the Hard Drive is broken, hmm time for some modding, uber geek style. lol.:D

My time has been limited up until recently as rlf problems have been taking up a lot of my spare time.
And plus I am tired of my char name.><

SATA Samsung HD501LJ 500GB Hard drive dead as of 24/10/2012, rest in peace SATA Samsung HD501LJ 500GB Hard drive running from 2008.
It has served me well but its time has come to bugger off the face of the tech and earth world or maybe it got jealous of my newer hard drive and eventually died of embarrassment.XD.><

Yesterday the hard drive was running XBMC self contained Linux distro that was recently released, partitioned and installed fine.
Watching the mentalist season 2, went out and got back in also then tried copying media across as this was meant to be a media center on my spare old hard drive but nope started having copy errors eventually.
I thought it was a permission fault on the file and carried on as normal, then today the following happened,
No connection, it wasn't even found in the bios and I tried an old laptop sata drive as well with both the current sata cable and a new one.
No issues what so ever but this broken hard drive powers on and spins up kind of, me think the plates are screwed!!!

This has been bothering me of late as I am very indecisive, whether or not to delete my current and only char [DRA]BlackWing.
As I have lost interest temporarily in the pirate status and roleplay option.
So any comments or opinion on this, would help me a lot.
    Thanks guys, its much appreciated.

this thread should be renamed to pirate hideout :D

    Thread renamed.:)

OP you're dead on as I totally agree, I loath even the name Chris Roberts but you have to give him credit for the Freelancer concept/idea alone otherwise Freelancer would of never existed.
And myself and many other Freelancer addicts ahem....enthusiasts. Will have way too much free time on our hands and I prefer modding old games as the old game engine to newer modern hardware/resources seems to sway in the favor of gorgeous eye candy and high fps, so multiplayer and 60 fps gameplay is possible.
And of course I am referring to CF modding but real life has got in my way up until recently, so for me Chris Roberts can stuff his rip off game and I will continue modding for the near future.;)

I went for a 1156/DDR3 chipset setup this time as it is still cheaper and just as efficient as sandy bridge in my opinion.
