What do you mean by jet pack?
I was thinking about illuminating the front of the jet on top but not sure yet.
And to anyone wondering why not just use one big engine, please refer to the following which I posted over on the shattered worlds war torn forum.

Fully Functional ship, only minor tweaks to the engine is needed to be done which, I will be doing in the coming days.
PM me if you wish to use this ship in a mod of your own or even CF if you're interested OP?
This ship has seven engines and thrusters so enough power to get you anywhere guaranteed as well as good armor regardless of what the ship info says hehe.><
Level six equipment, shields, guns etc all compatible and not to mention what looks like a jet engine powering this ship on top but in space!lol.:D
500 nanobots/shield batteries and 500 units of cargo space.:)
Major credit to Chrisz3d for his free models here.

Extract all of these files into the root of your milkshape 3d directory, run program, click import then click Freelancer CMP Importer not Freelancer CMP Importer V2.7.
Select CMP file then select the Mat file then extract all textures to tga, now close down the milkshape 3d program and restart it but this time click import then Freelancer CMP Importer v2.7.
Select previous CMP file, now mod the texture files for the model you extracted from previously in photoshop or another graphical editor then back in milkshape 3d click the Materials tab and replace each part of the ship with its corresponding texture.
Then carry on tweaking your ship then simply click export then Freelancer CMP and make sure you uncheck under Prompts>Overwrite CMP file and Mat file and to load your modded ship in Freelancer once you have finished all the CMP tweaking using HardCMP open the shiparch ini file under the Ships directory, search for the name of your ship then change the directory and file names pertaining to your CMP model file and individual Mat file.
Now boot up Freelancer select the ship and away you go.
    Enjoy and happy modding.;)

I have a Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 550Ti and I can OC it to 1066 core overclock at 1.2v which gives a very good boost in fps and performance, It maxes any current game that is out but then again.
I only have a 17 inch monitor running at a resolution of 1280x1024 with a 75 hertz refresh rate.
I do plan on finishing the upgrade of my PC this year though I will probably get an ivy bridge motherboard and a Intel K unlocked CPU probably an I5 and OC it lol.
As I like to go a tad cheaper and OC, ram wise probably start with 8GB of corsair DDR3 dominator ram and I already purchased and install a new PSU when.
I got my Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 550Ti earlier in the year and I already have a decent CPU cooler which should fit the new Z77 motherboard, I am thinking of getting.:)
Also a decent piece of advice is when buying any graphics card is only buy one that is suitable for your monitor size and resolution as spending more money on a more expensive graphics card.
Will only benefit you if you plan to upgrade your monitor and obviously be running at a higher resolution at a later date, I do also plan on buying another one one of my Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 550Ti graphics card and OCing both of them and running them in SLI only so.
I can get some more FPS out of the Crysis 1 series which is a performance and hardware hog of a game but if you can max that on all the ultra high settings, I guarantee you any of the newer games currently out such as Diablo 3, Battlefield 3, Skyrim etc will max out and run just fine.;)

    Update
    (See First Post)

I have added more guns and another thruster and as I mentioned in my first post it does support all class 6 equipment.
Now I just need to change the look of the ship and find the ship info card and edit it also, I need to change either the power output on the ship or how much power the guns use.
But I will probably just change the power output of the ship and this improvement is very good so far and the acceleration is brilliant minus the ship needs a tad more power lol.><
If anyone would like to test this ship PM for the files just so long as you will provide feedback thanks.:)

For future usage of Freelancer and many installs later, I always backup the Freelancer id from registry aswell as save them in txt form just in case as it saves time.
So I can just install run registry file and voila my id is back.:)
Backing up the id to a registry file is pretty straight forward, open up regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\1.0.
Right click 1.0 in the left bar then click export, type in a file name for it and click save

It seems the wiki links are all wrong for example

    Added another torpedo/disruptor mounting point.:)

@BlackWing: WHAT? 8o:S ... I was lost in 1/3 of your post. Actually you have on CF many ways how to spent your moneys and actually you can earn them imo on good speed (needed time). If you are OK with one fighter then nothing weird you think money are coming too fast. You heard for example something about cloaking device or BSs and theirs costs (and many other different ships)? And what about costs for pvp? What to organise something and sponzor it? Maybe you should learn little better about CF before posting criticism.

For market changes: I like it ... did once again mining with good feelings) and trade also offer much more possibilities. Profit and possibilities are better but still not too much high.

I don't need a fancy cloak as it just takes all the challenge out of freelancing, missions, pvp etc and I personally find battleships slow and a waste of credits and I have read all the rules and features of CF inside out hence why I didn't bother with CF until 1.9 for it to be more robust in terms of stability and yes.
I have no prior knowledge of 1.8, I just waited after seeing CF 1.8 videos online to see if it would be improved also when I first saw information of CF 1.8, I also found that 1.9 was coming out so, I waited lol just like I did with my psp slim. I know totally different topic but the main point is if I know something better is coming or is going to be ready available soon and is hopefully an improvement on its predecessor, I wait as it usually pays off for me.
But CF if anything you guys could of got more players playing for just fun if you kept the ability to blow up stations as I wouldn't of mind that feature myself but removing for what ever reason is fair enough lets hope it makes a reappearance in 2.0 but.
I am not sure where I stand on hanging around for CF 2.0, I am trying to stick around with CF 1.9 but i am only sticking around because.
I enjoy freelancer and fyi actually read my post yes I was critical and criticized CF but I also commented twice on its good features seriously guys you do have awesome features there is just a lot more tweaking of the basis that needs to be sorted but if you don't want to take a freelancer veterans advice and criticism fine be my guest.
I do recall when I left a few months ago someone commented that freelancer veterans like me should comment on CF on what needs to be improved so I did this time.

I will be brutal on the criticism with regards to the easy earning on this mod seeing as within 12 hours or less I had earned enough credits to buy a phoenix class 10 ship and fully kit it out with all the upgrades, shield, max power, max shield, max thruster etc and enough fire power to launch a space shuttle on top of that full ammo with ease.
So yes personally I feel this ease of achievement has gone to the dogs so to speak, its just too damn easy and that my friends is why they're less people playing the Freelancer crossfire mod but on the other hand for people who want to earn quickly.
I am not just going to keep my podding a secret and the best place to do it, if someone asks I tell them.
Or I tell them if I am wanting to give them a quick achievement route if they're looking for one.
So really the entire buying, exchanging systems needs to be overhauled badly, I have three individual freelancer installations using registry tricks.
Freelancer Vanilla(original), Freelancer Crossfire 1.9 and Freelancer Discovery 4.86 and they all work flawlessly just so, I don't get bored easily and discovery seems to have a lot more players then crossfire it has to be said because they have stayed true as much as possible to Freelancer Vanilla(original) whilst still adding new ships and new parts but you still have to work hard to earn them.
So take a leaf out of there book if you really want to save this mod and all this anal ocd bug fixing is all fine and good but you are loosing time improving crossfire.
I really don't want to come across as an ass here but, I am a Freelancer veteran who has been playing since its release and taking short breaks with Freelancer Vanilla online yeah like a month or two if that or sometimes just a month.
You want to know why? (sarcasm) because the original Freelancer vanilla makes you work for it period!
I used to love trading diamonds and making a few million credits at a time going from new Tokyo main planet and selling the diamonds at Manhattan, NY but you have f******* killed the entire trading system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel all crossfire is now is a glorified Freelancer mod which boasts new awesome features yes of course by far and with enough eye candy to make my eyes bleed >< but it has a bad bases for trading and achieving a rank or the parts you want.
Now I just feel cheap playing it and only pvp and some rp keeps this mod alive in my opinion so do yourself a favor and fix these problems unless you want to loose more players.
I used to play on Freelancer vanilla way back in the day even after Microsoft closed down the servers with shed loads of players not just 15 or 20 players for god sake.
With many clans, I even was apart of quite a lot of trading clans or I escorted them on very long trade runs as a fighter pilot.
This was f******** awesome! this is what is fun for not just me but many other veterans that enjoyed this trading aspect of the original Freelancer Vanilla game and you have killed it with crossfire. This upsets me to the point I sometimes feel the need to voice my opinions and comments like now as this was a long time coming and my god is the new voice overs for the new factions crap, dude get a proper mich for god sake and remove the damn noise in the background they sound f******** horrible!!!!!
Or just stick to the original audio files for the faction pilot voice overs, I swear I am growing tired of this.
You have good additions to the game in terms of parts and ships but as, I have mentioned earlier in this post the bases of this crossfire mod for Freelancer is just plain horrible and too damn easy!

I would personally run it on a separate installation of freelancer so you get the full intended experience of the mod and also who did you contact to test the beta of this mod?

    Okay I found the footage.:)
I just need to edit the under 40 minutes of footage now and it includes the first part of me going into IC, then going to the planet.
Main battle, aftermath and the part of the trip back including the repair ship but to amend my previous comment.
I would like to get it all done today but I really want to get back on crossfire but just tell me when you guys want this uploaded by?
And I will upload it before that date specified by the vast majority of you and also I need to get my ship back to the X system all the way from the GMG station.:(
