Hi OP, sorry I don't know the first thing about modding, and greatly appreciate all the hard work that YOU, and all those that do, put into them.
I only suggest this as a player with no modding knowladge at all, but is it possible to have random trade good requirements?
for example:- a message on the consol saying something like "For the next 30 minutes Battleship Hood requires HFuel and will pay $1500 per ton .
or MALTA requires Light arms and will pay $2000 per ton for the next 30 minutes etc.
Random items required at random places, paying random amounts between $1,000 and $2,000 for set times.
Then it's up to those who wish to, to get whats required there before the time limit expires.
Spot supply and demand, like in the real world.
Could be good for those who want a bit more challenge to tradeing.
Can give traders a personal challeng to see how many runs they could get in before time limit over etc.
Also good incentive for everyone explore all of CF, to fill their nav maps, and find all the goods for sale at all locations.
    Only an Idea.

Well all in all, the balance is pretty good as it is, the amount of people palying on here for so long atests to that OP.
Sorry I didn't realise that about the balance.
What about this! could you maybe put a 1 way JH, back from say Mandar to the ateroid belt near Earth, to at least half the long run to and from the anomaly, ( I know about YAKUTSK and have used it), then hunting Nomads in them systems could be good and profitable, selling Nomad weapons at earth.
Or if you're like me, killing them for the hell of it is cool too.

    ( first verse)
Oh give me a blaster, and an hour or two,
And I'll be only too happy, to call in there with you.
So come out you Nomies, come out and play,
Come in your squadrons cause I love it that way.
    ( chorus)
I been killing all the Nomads, all the live long day.
I been killing all the Nomads, cept the ones that run away.
    ( next verse, different tune)
Here I am in Altair, me trusty bullpup and me.
Eating nomies for breakfast, morning, noon and tea.
I like me little Nomies, they always keen to play.
If only there was somewhere to dock here,
It's here I'd love to stay.
    ( chorus)
I been Killing all the Nomads all the live long day.
    What do you mean! Shudupayouface?????
well if you ain't going to join in I'm off.
Here nomie nomie, here nomie nomie, now where'd I leave that blaster?
Answering these threads is addictive isn't it lol.

In my old Char Nomad Buster, I spent many happy hours discovering Altair in my faithfull old Bullpup MkIII,and at that time I never had any PPC's mounted, only 3 sunblast B turrets, 2 level 10 MkII's and 4 Nomad weapons, and that was armed enough to get me in and out safely everytime, though that was only killing Nomads, not coalition, they were neutral.

So Op, please just bang a docking ring on that station of yours in Sovetskya and we can all take our MKIII's there.
maybe sell Vodka or Mink Hats, AK 47,000's or such.
Pleaseski, Pleaeski, M8ski, think about itski.
Or do I have to call the K G Bski.

    (trys cosack dance)
la la la hey, la la la hey, la la la riiiippppppppp.
me legs, me legs, I can't feel me legs!
    Oops wardrobe malfunction.
What! what you mean "I can see Uranus"?
Ok I know it was a cheap way of getting a Uranus joke in but hey! it is SOL, and I have to find ways to entertain my mind on that long boreing, long boring, did I mention the long boring run to the Anomaly.
Hey Op, what about an inflight movie, Mars Attack or Lost in Space?

    (singing)
Oh give me a home where the blue Nomads Roam
and the strike carriers and interceptors run free.
where seldom is heard a discouriging word.
except! take that you nomies, from me.

    (chorus)
OH Nothing could be finer than a trader or a miner in the mooring.

ok ok don't shoot I'll stop! I'll stop!
Phew! I bet the Beatles never had to put up with this.
    NB oops R_39NB.

I'm old so I give 2 vetran and modern

Vetran Female Brigit Bardot ........who cares if she was a good or bad actress in her day she was a goddess.
    Vetran Male Gene Hackman

Modern Female I can't decide between Natalie P, Kiera K, and hell, all those other beauty's 30 years younger than I, well a guy can dream can't he lol.

Modern Male Tom Hanks...... so versatile from early comedy's to modern dramas the man can act.

    Favourite movies next please Op

I'm happy with any name that implies I love hunting Nomads, Order are (R) Nomads mortal enemy and always KOS each other.
I go to DV not for the disk but for the Nomad Battleships. FP 7 and Outer Dyson for the fighters.
Remember in original FL, Nomads took over key military and political personnel, and it was these who branded the Order terrorists, and turned every house military against us, when in fact Orillion and the Order were the real saviours of Sirius.
Trent alone did not save Sirius, the Order got him there and covered his back while he got that job done, there are still Nomads in Sirius, and we still have a job to do.
If the Order hadn't destroyed the Rhienland Cruiser outside Manhatten at the begining of the game, Liberty would have been lost, the Nomads would have won, and we'd all be flying jelly fish fighters.
It is our job as members of The Order to make sure the Nomads never gain another foothold in Sirius.
If you look like a Nomad, if you act like a Nomad, if you dock with the Nomads, if you Camp above the Nomad City in DV, then Order will visit you at the time and place of our choosing.
There does that sound like a good Role Playing scenario?
Any one want to be a Nomad?

    Q. Whats the last thing that goes through a Nomads mind as it hit's your windshield?
    A. It's ass.
I got plenty of Nomads on my windshield hehehe.

    R_39Nomad_Buster.

    Thank's Jib,

sorry but I never wanted to join any clans, I was always true to staying a freelancer, I

like helping others, I never felt good killing in PVP, hated costing others heaps to replace

all their mines, missiles and torps. I rarely use them, only enjoyed using guns against

nomads, more fun haveing to stay on someones tail to kill them.
    didn't mind others PVP

killing me, as i always had hundreds of millions of credits, easy to replenish in Bullpup

with 400 cargo, not so for you guys in fighters.
my final officiall tally was 5028 kills,

inc 183 BShips, and 72 missions. over 30 Bship kills lost to sys crashes.
    killed 4 in PVP

got killed 4 by pvp and Nomads got me 4 times in DV, 2 were when ship locked up after sys

crashes., 2 were fair and square, 1 in Hiruga, mindfield got me as i came through gate, and

1 suicide into sun for fun.
I will still pop in once a week or so and go to DV so I can

keep my ship for future comeback, after I play my 3 new stratgy games.
    there is no other

space game I enjoyed playing as good as freelancer, and CF rocks top of my list.
    Just

wish OP could get some base to offer Nomad missions lol.
I really loved killing a Nomad

Strike Carrier in Styx, in SP in 1.5, just wish there had been a base somewhere in there to

    rearm and repair.
Have a great day in Sirius M8

    Miki,

Lotto, I am humbled and grateful for all your help and especially friendship, you are the

main reason I stuck around and had such a great time in crossfire, you are always my number

1 friends, also Riped, and there have been and still are many good friendly helpful, people

in this mod, this was my first multiplayer game and you made it so much better than I

expected. I had planned on trying it for maybe a hundred hours, 220 odd hours later, thats

got to say something good about Crossfire and all of you.
I gave myself a mission of

getting 5000 kills in my Bullpup Mk III ( a great ship Thanks OP ), before trying some of my

new strategy games, I only need 11 more kills to officially reach 5000, maybe 518 would be

better as all but the first 18 were in my bullpup, I got 183 battleships so another 2 would

be nice, then I will go play these other games for a while, I intend to come back again, you

guys are to cool for me to stay away for long.
Thanks again Miki, Lotto, all I really

need when I come back is your friendship and Nomads loads and loads of Nomads.
    Have a

    great day in Crossfire.
    Love to all Nomad Buster.

Looks like I got it all wrong, after reading other

threads, it seems it's the NPC's that are causing all the lagging not the disk.
    As I

have mentioned in other threads, the sys crashed in DV, often when My kills passed 30 and

the Kusari fleet arrived, NPC count increassed.
Today I have been fighting Bounty

Hunters, in missions in Omacron Alpha, and found the lag gets really bad as the NPC count

increases, and on 1 occasion already, sys crashed when more NPC's arrived, so my

appologies, I was wrong, it's not the disk but looks like it's to do with the number of

    NPC's.
    I guess after 190 odd hours playing time, I can't say I'm a newbie but I am

still learning, and have a ways to go.
    Thanks for your patience.
    Nomad Buster

Sorry Op, my appology, I didn't

think of the storyline, what about maybe making the disk only worth 1000 credits like the

others disks or even 9,000, damage from Nomads would make it not worth the effort for disk

    abusers.
Whatever you decide, it's still a great mod, you've done yourself proud

    Mate.
    Much appreciated.
Cheers form A very happy little Nomad Buster.
    P.S. when are

you going to update the donors list?

I personnaly only have the one char, and have no intention of getting any others, I

love my Bullpup Mk III and have made over 3,400 of my 4000+ kills in Death Valley alone,

including 170 Nomads Battleships, had a lot more but lost to sys crashes. I often spend 30

or 40 mins at a time in DV, I have seen others appear in D V, log on, look for disk, log

off. I've even waited until others have taken the disk before I enter D V.
    There are

others like myself, who go to DV for the sheer exhiliration of taking out 3 battleships and

their 18 Gunship escorts, or haveing not 10 but 20 Nomad fighters jump you. to me the

pleasure of fighting off wave after wave is far better than any 9 mil disk.
    I guess I'm

selfish but I'd love to see DV Disk free, where we can have a Nomad killing Spree, without

having everyone ask you if you've got the disk, when your up to your armpits in Nomads.

    Dear Crossfire team, is it

possible to move the Ragnarok, Death Valley disk, to a wreck somewhere in Coalition Space,

and leave Death Valley free to kill Nomad Battleship groups and fighters.
    Putting it in a

wreck in one of those systems, far away from the nearest base, Earth, will not only reduce

the Disk abuse but also give those who choose to venture there a little reward, I myself had

to kill 61 Nomads, 31 interceptors and 30 fighters just to get through the Mandar gate back

into Styx, and found my repair bill nearly 2 mil, lost a Phoenix, torpedo, etc.
    I will

gladly donate another 25 Euro's towards the cost of this, if once you consult everyone, and

they agree, you choose to move it there.
    keep up the great work
    Cheers
    Nomad

    Buster.

Sorry let me explain, I originally only got 1 disk, which I was told we were all

allowed to do once in 1.51, sold it went upto 371mil credits, when un docking sys booted me

off, when I went log char back on it said I had 362 mil, and was in DV so when I logged on I

fought Nomad battleship groups and fighters then went to Ragnarok got disk, which I thought

was my first 1 again, went back to planet crossfire and when I went to sell disk found I had

2 disks in hold, sold them went from 362 upto 380 mil tried to undock got booted, time after

time, logged off went for a walk thought about it then decided to try jettisoning

    them.
Only once I undocked, without trying to sell disks, and jettisoned them both, I

returned to crossfire sold diamonds went to freeport 7 killed nomads, everything seems to

have returned to normal, which is why I posted my warning.
    Hope this helped someone.

Do not take the Death Valley Ragnarok disk, if you do you will have nothing but

trouble, if you have it just jetison it and everything will be ok.
    I had 1, then 2 disks

and kept on getting booted off sys each time I tried to sell them then tried to undock, I

have now jettisoned them and game seems ok again.
I will stay out of Death Valley now

and only hunt nomads in other sytems, until bugs are fixed.
Have a great day in Sirius.

Yes I have had problem with the 9 mil disk

infact I now have 2 of the damned things in hold, I though we were only going to be able to

    get 1 only.
I have tried to sell them both plus my load of diamonds at Planet

    crossfire.
The first disk I got the usual way of fighting through DV to Ragnarok, had 362

Mil, got disk went sold it, had 371 mil, came back to DV to fight nomads, sys crashed lost

my kills and noticed char was showing 362 mil and I was back in DV so I fought to Ragnarok

got disk headed to sell only when I checked cargo found I had 2 disks, sold them both at

crossfire, sys threw me out, char again showed 362 mil, hold had 2 disks in + my 398t of

diamonds, again sold every thing went upto 380 mil tried to leave PL Crossfire kicked off

sys again. gave up and logged off.
Convinced now that nomads hate me and are behind

    this.
Seriously though this is going to be an even greater mod
    Thank's OP
