    Riebens - Redemption dies very quickly in IC - too slow to manouver :-(
    The whole point of this is that no player should be forced to fight in a particular way (guns/missiles) unless there is an extremely good reason. There is no good reason why no performance fighters are set up for 6 lvl 10 slots.
    This is just down to no choice. Yes, I could very well adapt to flying a 4 + 2 with missile set up, but I will NOT be forced into doing that, as a matter of principle.

    Thanks Vishnu, but I have flown around, searched and searched. There are NO ships with 6 lvl 10 slots that have any performance now.
    Op has clearly stated that he will not change that and I cannot use a 4 + 2 if guns do not have same projectile speed - it DOES trash targetting.
    This is not my choice, but something that is forced upon me.
    I would just like to know how long it would take to change two gun mounts on 1 ship from lvl 9 to lvl 10 and how this would dramatically alter the balance on the mod.
    But don't worry about answering because nothing is going to change.

    So, if people had the choice of which ship to use - laggy missile ship or unlaggy gun fighter, they would choose the ship with guns and server lag would drop, but they would have a CHOICE which they do not have now.
    Notice that when I detailed my ideal ship - it was NOT a top performance ship. It is right if the laggy missile ships have a small performance advantage to compensate - that is fair and balanced.


    @ Riebens - yes, that is about it ship wise and they are all very slow.

    @ Op - Since when has trying to enable balanced game play - i.e. ships for gun fighters as well as missile fighters been shit ?????
    @ Crysis - I don't care about the slower speed as long as it is on an equal basis with other ships of same class, cargo, hull etc ...
    @ Gunny - thanks for the offer mate, but I have looked at (I think, because of course I may be wrong) every performance ship on this mod and they are ALL 4 + 2.

    @ Op - it has been right and worked correctly on every mod I have played on, so why should it be wrong on this one ? Any inaccuracies on it are drawn from the mods .ini files, if those files are correct, the programme is correct.


    By the way - just to show I do not want a "Top dog" ship, my ideal ship on this mod would be the Horizon, if it had 6 lvl 10 slots and performance of similar ship like the Saracen.
    Why ? - Because it is an Order ship, my chosen rp base (merc on this mod) and it is the most beautiful ship on the mod.

    @ Op - the programme I use combines many factors from the .ini files. The three figures I posted show speed and turning rate - generally speaking, the higher the first figure, the higher the speed of the ship, the second and third show turn rate, second should be low, third should be high. I can also read nudge force and strafe force. The Redemption was never top dog ship before I got it and use it's dynamics to make it so. I have never asked for a top dog ship, just one that is on a par with others.
    @ Riebens - the programme I have might save you a huge amount calculation time, mate. It also shows the Redemption way down the performance league table - pm me if you want it.

    These are from the .ini files and show Bullpup much faster than Redemption ( I have an Admin programme that lets me look at these files but not alter them).
    I can look at every ship and piece of equipment on this mod and compare it, this was part of my job as front of house Admin. So Op, it seems your answers are not correct.
    I think Michael spoke correctly when he said some ships were changed more than others due to complaints. Nobody used the Redemption before me, classidying it as slow and heavy, but equipped and handled correctly, it became a top PvP ship.
    Due to that I was accused many times of cheating - somethng I have never, ever done. (I quit my Admin job due to "cheating" by other Admin.)
    As to missiles - they cause lag, so why is it so terrible to want a decent all gun fighter ?

    As I posted on Crossfire Facebook a couple of days ago, I shall be leaving the server with great regret.
    I only fly ships mounted with guns, that is the way I have played for 4 years and I do not want to change that.
    Op has relegated the Redemption to the realms of a tug boat - performance reduced by 30% compared to the Super fast ships only being reduced by 8%.
    The only available 6 x lvl 10 ship now is the Bullpup MkII which is NOT a contender in the PvP stakes.
    The mod is geared to missile firing ships and if you don't have one, you will NEVER reach the upper echelons in PvP.
    I asked Op prior to 1.9 to either increase the projectile speed of 1 lvl 9 gun or to make 1 performance ship have 6 x lvl 10 slots so people could have the choice of using guns or missiles - I was refused on both.
    So, thanks for your intransigence, Op.


    To all others - it has been great playing, fighting, PvP'ing and helping you guys. I really have enjoyed it and it is with very much regret that I have to go.

    In Inner Core systems, and I don't know if it happens elsewhere, if you die in a different system to the one you were docked in, when you regen server still lists you as being in system you died in, not original system. Try to undock and you are booted for cheating. This goes on for a long time, seemingly until server crashes.

    No, not a joke mate and my cargo is 80 pods. I only use 1 char for missions, so difficult to test others. I have not tried other commodities either. Not a PC bug because going to Vega with full cargo presented no problem.If it was pc bug I would not be"Killed by an NPC" as stated on chat log.
    For a while I'll keep using Vega :)

    @ Michael - I was referring to buying Prisoners as commodity - not pod hunting.
    @Op - sorry but thinking of RP board and things said here made me think of RP on server. Also, if each description had a little "Post your RP story here (with link to RP Board) more players might be tempted to use this board as it is supposed to be used. Probably 60-70% of players don't even know it is here or ever visit the Forums and from the Forums - the Portal itself .

    Just a thought, but could it be made that when a person goes to buy a licence, the RP for that licence is displayed ? Maybe even a box they have to tick to say that they have read it, before they can buy ?


    OMG - a second thought^^ must be having a bad day, lol. - Ok, One of the complaints/moans I see quite often is that Police cannot make decent money - how about them having a commodity that only they can buy (like BMG's for smugglers) linked to their licence, maybe Prisoners would be in keeping with their RP.
