  • Installing Crossfire results in failure even when following all tips. Help!

    This works for me,install on windows 7
    1.Deactivate and uninstall Crossfire which should uninstall mod manager as well.(use Revo uninstaller Free) advanced mode.
    2. Uninstall Freelancer.
    3 Reboot,install Freelancer,reboot if it asks.
    4. Install Mod Manager 1.31.
    5. Install Crossfire.
    6. Activate Crossfire in Mod Manager.
    7. Start game from desktop shortcut or from Mod Manager.

    Hexplore you were right,my own stupid fault I was trying out the Komodo in a nebula where its top speed is 167,out in clear space its as Lonewolf says 227!

    What do people think of the "super shield" available in the Hiruga system,I bought one in Crossfire 1.82 and didnt really notice any difference in protection from NPC fire.It seemed roughly the same as the other Class 10
    shields,is it any better in Crossfire 1.9?

  • Cloaking Device

    Hi
    I know this may not be a popular question at the moment and I dont mean it to be hassleing anybody or anything but has anyone, OP maybe got a,,, rough estimate of
    when we will be able to use our Cloaking Devices and the wonderful Banking and Deposit system in flhook ?.
    There are at least currently 3 ships in Dom'Kavash systems with all the nessesary parts for the Cloaking Device but we are unable to use them,cant mount all of the parts
    and they cost a LOT so to leave them unmounted and fly around an maybe die is not an option,we are stuck here, until we can activate them as the Cloaking Device and
    then we could be off to all parts Crossfire.

    I saw a ship the other day with what I can best describe as a purple "waypoint" mounted on its back,a large purple diamond, I wonder if anybody else has seen such a thing and if so

  • Red asteroid field in Venn

    Hi
    Are there any tips or tricks for getting past the bouncing asteroid field in Venn,having tried repeatedly if you are attacked within the asteroid field you're dead and there dosent
    seem to be anything a pilot can do to avoid this? Surely this cant be right,it makes Venn unplayable.

    In answer to your question OP "is inertia to heavy" yes I personally think it is to heavy,I used to fly a Redemption in 1.82 and after really looking forward to 1.9 I was amazed at how the handling of the Redemption
    had changed,it was like a different ship..no more fast turns which I found dissapointing.
    I thought 1.82 was great and had got used to the ships handling for about a year and I had an adequate fighting style but now its all changed so much its like trying to learn to fly all over again and the Inner Core
    is now so much harder what with the bouncing around in Venn,my only option is to run to Weth cos if I meet any Doms in there Im toast and its back to Omega 3 which can get tedious,so for my part please
    change the inertia back to how it was in 1.82 or at least reduce it a bit.By the way the graphics improvements are really very good and the increase in mission payments as well.

  • Crossfire 1.9 - Multiplayer Problems...

    I agree these problems must be being caused by someones iffy character,lately the game has been running great,really smooth then suddenly it just fails.OP has done great work getting
    Crossfire to this stage,its a shame some people dont report problems.
