    today XL did send me a game via mail
    i thought this could only be a joke coz that game originally has more than 4gb
    i opened the mail and the file in there was a 325kb .rar


    well you can imagine that i told XL to fuck off and play his joke on somebody else but he told me that its not a joke
    so i downloaded those 325k and extracted it with winrar
    O_o
    to my surprising it was no joke coz after extracting i had 2 4.18gb big iso files on my hdd


    in the last 17 years of working with computers ive never seen this before


    oh and yeah you read right 325kb and 4,18gb (to my knowledge impossible but ehmm well its on my hdd now)


    hell i want to know how they compressed that!!!!!!

    there are very very powerfull compression methods.


    i have a full install of c+c generals with 100 mb.
    I have it original too, there it fills 2 cds...

    As far as i know its not compression or something like it.



    Its file with simple and repeating information or empty file which report bigger size than it really is.



    I had similar crack for a game - small but when unziped its whole DVD (full size). DVD itself is empty, or have just few files which are needed to lie the game launcher that the game's DVD is insearted.


    that would just be a sucky mini-image. Plus, you wouldn't be able to install it and as far as I get OP's story he was.

    i usually would agree to you pc but ehmm the problem with that is.... it is a full game (FPS)... 4,18gb working

    played it and besides some starting problems due to a problem with unzipping everything works fine


    i proudly can say that ive put a 4gb game on a 3 1/2" floppy disc ^^

    I only could prefer this game - it's nice and you need a good graphic card to use all the advantages of this game.


    Only disadvantage: The play could have somewhat more story and it is played to the end very fast... :(
