  • OP, cant you "remove" that new NY rule...
instead it would be easier to monitor Ny and any SP or yourself to kick/ban campers (not punish all other players that have always used the sistem as a trade path leading to other sistems) and i think you already made your point by making the rule... but dont you think its too harsh to "seal" the sistem ...

  • Its not "sealed"... At least I don't think it is...

Last night I passed through on my way to Rheinland on board my Train, and I even stopped for half an hour to help out two newcomers who had many, many questions.

    I didn't get into trouble... :D

  • Op has worked hard to remove some of the Server Police's duties so we can actually enjoy the game. Not to mention some of the things we do "off duty" to help the community.

So why should we have to patrol as SP more often, just to lift a rule of no camping or parking in NY for level 60 players and above?

  • If I may humbly offer my opinion on the matter, why not simply make NY a PvP zone like all other systems and not worry about campers there any more than the NL system.

My reasoning for this is simply that every now and then Manhattan offers great trade options not to mention that NY is the central transportation hub of the universe. As far as "safe" zones are concerned, I personally only used NY for transfers because thats where you could always find someone to help. Anywhere will do for this however. You just need to be creative to ensure that you won't be blown to bits in mid-transfer.

I will abide by the final decision and stand behind OP and all SPs in the matter. My only hope is that the few have not made matters so bad as to permanently inconvenience the many.

If there were a number of server police adequete to undertake such duties it would be feasible. The SPs are too few imao, but like has been said several times this topic has to drop.

If you all want to have the rule revoked show OP that you can spend as much time in all the other systems as NY and that you can have faith in his decisions. I don't agree with the new rules, but it makes sense that persuading by actions is far more effective than through petition. OP had goals in mind when he enacted this and if it takes server rules to do that he won't think twice about it. If we can show that we don't need the rule to get the end result maybe it'll be back on the table then. Server politics and bickering is distracting from the RP and exploratory potential of the game so often ignored. Ideally this server wouldn't need any rules if everyone played the game, did so in a way that's fun for both the player and the community as a whole, went about the server doing things responsibly, and had a sense of honor about them when undertaking their respective RPs. When unpopular rules are made we only have ourselves to blame, so perhaps we should think about that a little first before placing the blame on any one person when it's the fault of the whole for not doing something about it ourselves in the first place ;)

  • Man i thought this was suppose to be just a game. I don't really care for the new rules myself. But i agree with OP on this one myself. I look at it as a new challenge for the role play myself. It makes the game that much more interesting.

  • thx for ur suggestion Neorok, but this discussion is over. the decision has been made and its not going to get changed, so plz drop this now.
