we are all in the same boat here m8, no need to resort to this kind of frustration. evryone knows there is a problem and more than likely OP is trying his best to rectify said problem and get the server up an running again. try and have a bit more pateince instead of resorting to this m8. already to many threads with ppl stating the obvious. im as frustrated and impatient as most players here but you wont here me whinging about the server going down. just feel priveledged to know that when OP sorts the problem you will once more be able to play on the best server there is! the best doesn't come without the odd hiccup. hang in there and play some forum games!

Dont worry m8, OP will get this sorted as soon as ne can. its not the first time this has happened and it certainly wont be the last. btw i know what you mean by addictive, i cant remember the last day i intentionally wasnt on the server!! and it may be a coincidence, whos to say, but i read on lancers reactor of the upcomming 1.63 update. you never know?!!!

Well Axelius what can i say, yes the server is down again and yes my pc i sitting here with me at the keyboard praying that OP manages to save all of us from going crazy but like Dopple says this is by far the best server and is well worth being a little patient, This problem will be sorted OP will see to that im sure, so for now why dont you play the single player game for now and explore OP's creation. ok thanks for the info.. has it been off for some time now? is there chances that the server gets back online before tomorrow? here it's 18:20 (6:20 pm). we're connected in lan and are waiting for the server...

This needs to stop. Wavey is right when he said it will be up when it's up. You say you're addicted, well do you think it's any easier for the people who have actually played here a long time and are even more so? Also, demanding for times and faster adjustments is a bit self-centered. OP is the only person for this job and he's got his plate full with all sorts of stuff. He'll fix it when he fixes it and not a moment sooner. Perfection cannot be rushed, so I'm afraid the alternative to having the server back this very instant is finding other things to do (trust me, it was much harder that month with the charwipes or the other time with the multi-week server downtime). We'll all be back on the server soon enough, so these threads complaining about the current situation need to stop plz.

You cannot be connected with some of your friends via lan, then connect to CrossFire. In other words, one of you cannot host the connection to CF for your friends.

This causes players to lag heavy in game and to my knowledge, unless something has changed, is not permitted here.

I have to help enforce policy, it is nothing personal. So don't get flamed with me for giving friendly assistance.

If I am wrong with my statement, I am sure Op will correct me.

It has something to do with telnet. Once the new server is restarted using telnet commands, it doesn't load up again. May be something as simple as a wrong config.

heh.. just now i was going to buy ram to play CF.

You don't need to apologize, I do... I've read this same thing on several different threads and just was annoyed by it at the time. You had every right to be concerned and ask questions, I shouldn't have dismissed it as whining, and for that I am sorry. To answer your question in different words the problem involves the server not fuctioning properly and could need quite a bit of time to remedy. I don't know when the server will be back, but we all want it to be back as soon as possible and I'm sure OP is trying hard to fix it. It could be in 5 minutes, and it could be in 5 days. We'll all just hope for the best and find things to do to pass the time by. Don't ever shut your mouth about anything though. This is a forum, a place where ideas are expressed and opinions weighed. I hope you'll continue to post your thoughts and concerns.

nice.. now i'm currently playing on standard freelancer and... it does stinks compared to crossfire..
