Im using a 54 mb wireless adapter on my PC i average about 40 mb most of the time but on MP im constantly cought in lag but its more noticable with npcs than other players.
should i get an ethernet cable for the hundred mb?

I use ethernet connex instead of my wireless as it does make a difference

I don't think that's the problem. In the last 3 days the amount of lag has been terrible for me and before that just fine. I don't actually get yellow or red flashes declaring lag, everything just jumps... sometimes so much so that it's impossible to engage other players, NPCs, navigate, or even get to the nearest base to dock. I was wondering if there's anything wrong with the server. This combined with the down times is a little concerning... Maybe it's just my PC not performing as it should, but I inclined to doubt that atm.

definately a lag problem on server, i had trouble killing all the nomads in the lair. i never normally do, instead they just built up and up until i had to run for my life, there was like thousands, and i could hit many of them for the jumps.
i also thought it was my pc, but its in very good order, just been fragmented too, now i see others having trouble too.

i use wireless too, my ping is around 1-2 ms to the wireless router.
only when someone starts to copy large files around the ping suxx
(good that i am the only who uses wireless

I have wireless and my ping is 198-288 [12]
I think it'd be better if I were in Germany

I've too got serious lag problems with NPCs. It's really impossible for me to hit anything or even just follow them because the jump around like crazy. And it's neither my PC hardware, nor my connection, since that is around 30-50 ms too.

I even notice lag lol i know this is funny hearing it from me
Although my laggy butt counters the npcs lol not to mention i have developed a tactic for fighting npcs when there is heavy lag but that is my secret -

my tactic is RUUUUNNNN
exspecialy when in DK systems

Do i have to say it again? I DONT RUN! I simply use the npcs stupidity against it
