Hey,
I was grinding a Power Generator MK V and then went off fighting an ship was destroyed multiple times, all fine. Now ship was destroyed and I did check my equipment and the Power Generator MK V is not there anymore. Is that intendet to get destroyed if the ship is destroyed? Also, I was reading some artile about once PG is installed, it is a key part of the ship and if removed it can do harm to your player ID and corrupt it.
So why is it gone?
Regular all mounted parts of your ship come back when respawn. There are two ways loosing such things. 1. is dying while docking. 2. If you lost sth during fight and then dock its gone finally. So if you did some fight better look if equipment is complete before dock, sometimes you loose sth during fight and didn't realize it,.
Yeah maybe that was the case :-/

And for PGs and other similar equipment… double check if you have it equipped after purchase (that dot in upper left corner), it doesn’t equip automatically. I’ve learned this lesson few times 😎 in the past.
It was mounted. Was flying through this invisible mine field in Vega and did lose some stuff. Game just told me I lost my cm and turret, did use tractorbeam to collect it but somehow, pg was not collected, rest of items where back when I did respawn inside base beacause mines did kill ship xD
Hard to not get killed in invisible mine field xD
It is east of the prison.
When I fly through it, I do not get a warning about explosive gases. Also, sometimes I just hit something invisible like hitting an asteroid. That also happens when you hit a mine. On gases, you can just fly by. So no clue what it is but was costly.
