freelancer mod 1.3 already ticked crossfire 1.3

reinstalled mod manager and client 2.0

when opening mod manager the game is already ticked and i cannot activate the options for game play

this message appears

Error: FLMM has determined that 'Crossfire Mod 2.0 Client Edition' won't properly deactivate.

Warning: unable to restore 'c:\program files (x86)\microsoft games\freelancer\exe\freelancer.ini' because no backup exists! (test run)

first time a did it i did the options and it crashed so deleted everything and stasrted again but now when i open mod manager its already ticked and no game options and the above error!

i coudnt deativate the mod,tried several times it just says the same error message.

could you me a step by step guide to get me back to the point of changing the setting to stop it crashing ,i think its to do with picking a lower setting to get it to go .

anyway what im saying is do i need to uninstal mod manager and clean the registry agasin as well as changing the name of the freelancer file?

thankyou,everything activated perfectly ,launcher came up ,but after 2 updates im getting a crash report

tried changing the graphivs to low level,but same crashed twice

is there anymore updates etc?
