  • Hi, first of all a BIG THANKS to authors who developed this fantastic mod and to everybody playing on crossfire server and bringing so much fun! must say i have played other mods, and Ive played CF for just a few days and i know its the best. Theres so much to expplore and yet more to expect! I know there is CF1.6 under development, maybe it ll soon be released so it is too late to suggest ideas. But just would like to share them with you and see how does every one think. btw some ideas are from my experiennces on evolution nima 24/7 server, and i mark them with EVO. others are my own thought. and apoligize if any of them are already mentioned by anyone!


    1. Now we can read a clue in news to find a hidden system (INCOMING TRANSMISSION, though ive not found it yet), why not for hidden bases/jump holes? exploration is great fun, but it can be more interesting if it follows a kindof.... riddle. So maybe I can read news in bar to find out if there are any reports on hidden bases, or jump holes, and of course their exact cordinate should not be revealed, but just give me a clue to find them.


    2. would it be possible to rebalance capital ships, so it gets tougher and worth buying? atm i think torpedo is to powerful, or maybe capital ships and station-like targets are too weak. So maybe to reduce torpedo power abit. So a fighter is a real FIGHTER, fast, effective against small n fast targets; while a bomber is a real useful BOMBER but slow, need escort but effective against captial ships; and bs can play a more important role against npc fleet (fighters can bring enemy fighters into bs shooting range so as to exploit bs deadly gunshot for example.) . therefore we can see a real fleet consists of wings of fighters, bombers and bs, fighting against NPC. And maybe license can be introduced to prevent over-use of capital ships.


    3. (EVO) would it be possible to simulate NPC invasion? e.g. coalition invading our sirius system, and possibly take systems? if a system is taken, it will be filled with enemy npc's, so entering such a system alone can be suicide, and traderoute can be affected. Therefore, more people will joint the fight against our common enemies. of course a system can be taken back. I know there is ASF VS CSF rp atm, but after a system is taken, theres nothing different (i think new berlin is taken by CSF, but its still safe to enter). people can still enter there safe. This idea comes from evolution server. There the webmasters simulates nomads invasion. some systems are already taken by nomads, and full of blue squids. there are often nomad hunt events, where people get together, form a fleet of fighters, bombers and bs, and fight to retake sirius systems.


    4. (EVO) can we have different escape pods, in ways that there are xenox pilots, dragon pilots, rogue pilots, corsair pilots, and police pilots etc. crimial pilots are wanted by police so can be sold at a good price on police base. of course, depending on the fame of the terrorist org, prices are different. police/navy (npc) pilots can also be sold at good price at criminal bases. nomad pilots maybe highly wanted for research. This can encourage people to fight. and fighting is more rewarding than it is now so more interesting. maybe bar mission rewards can be adjusted as well?


    5. last thing, is it possible to reduce the difficulty level against npcs alittle? [2] i found some npc ships (lengionaire for example) shield regen incredibly fast. the ship is already agile and hard to shoot. combined effect is that it took me 5mins to take down a lengionaire ;( and ive never hunt down a starflier yet.

    Later on the game you'll get ships even faster and buy weaps 10x more powerfull. Other than this, train hard and you'll get an good targeting, or just make groups of friends (i guarantee you that you'll make friends very quicly) to take out those, later you could all split equally the escape pods.
