Another ship and the way to the final result.
This time a heavy missile frigate
Construction time: a bit more than 3 hours.
Here we go:
As usual we start with our owl... ehmmm i mean box.
This time the box is cut in two pieces.
Just to reconnect it again in the rear section while the front gets its first rough shape.
I created this triangular thingy here. It will be needed later.
Then I started to cut out the missile pods and created the first of the armor plates.
Big badda boom got added.
Now Ive cut the ship into two pieces and deleted half of it while I added the remaining armor pieces for the front section of the ship.
Since the ship is symetrical I now copy/pasted the half ship, mirrored it and put everything back together. That saved alot of time.
Now I started the work on the rear armor plate.
An additional missile pod was added tothe lower part of the ship.
Ahh... and now these triangular thingies find their place on the ship.
The backside of the ship got intersected.
And finally the engines were put in place.
A few additional missiles and a large stationary cannon will make this ship a true cap ship killer.
And finally the bridge (literally) and some point defense weapons.
Done.
