Since there are many improvements to attacking weapons in ED 2.1, knowledge about any possible defense can come handy. Before almost no one bothered to even think about mine launchers ... but is it still the case in 2.1?
There can be much more with the mines usage since they can be easily upgraded by engineers. You do not need to aim on "destroy attacker" as a trader, all you really need is "buy" for yourself little more time for escape and upgraded mines can be able to do it for you with elegance. I will search for more info about mines, myself use two small "shock" launchers on my trading/mining anaconda and will further update this thread with personal experience.
