Medium Tractor Beam not working [SOLVED]

Hi all. So yesterday i managed to get rid of the Rhino and buy me my first decent ship the Werewolf (huge upgrade, i' m lovin it). So i sold my old equipment and looked around for some upgrades, I bought weapons, new scanner and the medium tractor shield. Then went out podding to test out my new toy. Killed some rogues, but when i tried to use my medium tractor beam nothing happens i can't pull in anything pods or any other kind of loot (my cargo hold is empty). I reconfigured my control keys for the beam and tried again. Nothing. Then i went back and bought a light tractor beam and tried again. This time i could pull all the loot. I reinstalled the medium tractor beam, killed a couple of xenos and tried to get the loot but again nothing happened. The medium tractor beam refuses to work.

I tried all this again after quitting the game and restarting my computer, Same deal.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked the small dot and the beam was not mounted!! I sold it and bought it again and now it's mounted and working normally...

I'm kinda confused now i thought that when you buy new equipment they are auto mounted? What am i missing?

Never mind i figured it out. I can't believe i didn't bother to click on the damned dot (feeling stupid now...)
