ALL IS GOOD NOW 
the text ingame is not the crossfire text though but it hasnt caused any problems at the moment

Have a look here : Crossfire2 font didn't install (Solved manually)
Depending on your screen : have you activated the "wide screen support" on flmm activation ? (16:9 resolutions)
If "Crossfire" fonts doesn't work, perhaps choose another HUD during activation ?
(You should be ... seasoned on de-/re-installation by now
)
