There are coming changes in CFPD in the near future all in order to better the department, it's membership, the protection of Sirius and of course "rp". There will be changes in the command structure , diplomacy , "treaties" , agreements and how we address our roleplay and relationships with other players.
1. In 2.0, CFPD will have a home system and possibly a new location in order to begin a new era. Of course this is a discussion I will need to have with Op and we will keep everyone posted.
2. Mutual Defense Agreements & Allied Clans: Currently, BG & (IOC) are the only two clans we will have any agreements with. BG & (IOC) are long standing friends with CFPD. Although (IOC) is a smugglers clan, this does not remove the point that a mutual defense agreement cannot be in place. Pirates will not have diplomacy with CFPD. We are at opposite ends of the RP scale, so this is only logical. Mercenaries can have diplomacy with CFPD and we encourage it. However your RP is largely "criminal" in nature, by "killing" for money. This does not preclude CFPD from hiring Mercenaries for work, escort duty or intelligence work. 13th Armored has current "employment" status with CFPD, aswell as a few FL Mercs. SA's status to CFPD is set to "not friendly" due to recent events with a SA pilot and the lack of response from SA command. SA are considered a criminal organization due to their recent activity and will not change until further notice.
3. CFPD roleplay is police and we will make every effort to make our police status as "realistic" as possible, by including "traffic stops" , ship inspections and so forth in order to add an element of fun to the game. Non-compliance will result in arrest.
4. CFPD will not engage the lazy Pirates who hang out in the Arena or X3043. This is a roleplay server, not a pvp server where we sit in a system and fight all day while ignoring the other systems in the mod. Pirates need to get out and do your rp, you are a central role to the success of this server and you have the power to make things really exicting if you choose.
5. To ALL Freelancer pilots. You are subject to RP even if you don't think you are. You role is also essential to the success of everyone here. Aside, interacting with players is positive for the most part.
6. F1 use. Any CFPD pilot caught using F1 to avoid RP or to gain the advantage in RP, will be ousted from CFPD immediately if found guilty. Not only is F1 use against the server rules, it ruins RP. Any pilot caught using F1 to avoid RP or used to gain the advantage, will be reported immediately to the Admin(s) for action. CFPD will also place that player(s) in KOS status if needed. We have spent countless hours piloting the systems to chase smugglers or "sneak up" on criminal activity, only to have the player(s) use F1 to leave the system to avoid rp.
7. Mercenaries: Be warned, if you kill a CFPD officer under contract ( bounty) you will be hunted and arrested ( within reason). Your RP is not a free-ride or without consequences after you kill an officer or any civilian pilot. Our rp is "dangerous" and so is yours.
