AVS Video Editor ~ USD $60
AVS Video Converter ~ USD $50
Magix Movie Edit Pro MX ~ USD $70 - USD $100Those are the programs I use and I'm quite comfortable with them. Of course there are many other programs out there and all promising to be the best, the one and only and all you need and such.
But at the end, it's your very own call what you want to do, what you are willing to spend and what features the program should include.
I could say those AVS Video Editor and Magix Movie Edit Pro are the best you can get, but thats not entirely true. Even for me they are doesnt have to mean, for others they are as well.Download the programs and use the trial period to figure if it fits your needs.
Windows Live Movie Maker also promises to be easy in handling and has some nice features.
Adobe Premiere CS5.5 also seems to be a good program. (Which I might try as well as soon as I can afford it) -
Rules on portal are clear about 'hints' how to "avoid trial period" ... So, ALL please be nice at obey those rules. Thx.
And I have some experience with Windows Live Movie Maker (CF Intro is done in this) and it can give nice result if you not want something extra ... its part of Windows live, so you can have it for free. IMHO if you want start with making videos, WLMM is good enough to learn basic.

but what about the video cutter?
If you have AVS Video Editor then you can also cut movies within that program.
During the editing it gives you the option to cut the sequences the way you like. -
ok I'll search for this
thx a lot -
ok I'll search for this
thx a lotThis explains where to cut the actually used movie sequence
above the 6 lines (main video, audio, overlapping video, voice, ect.) you got an option appearing called "cutting" (or smth) as soon as you place a movie sequence into the main video line.
Same option you get when you hit the contex menu on your video sequence within the main video line.
By hitting it a second window pops up (with the sequence you want to cut, loaded) ready for you to place start and end markers on the apropriate positions.
You can also cut a sequence into multiple sequences as well, by hitting the option "multiple cutting" (or smth similar) Which allows you to place several start and end markers within the main sequence and split it into several different ones that way.
It's all acting frame by frame, so you can get a pretty clean cut.Same way (right click on the movie sequence) you can act when hitting the complete sequence within the library window.
But remember, this changes will affect the sequence in the library permanently (but not the file on the harddrive), while the above mentioned way does not touch the library informations. -
thank you
