Crossfire Singleplayer - Everything trying to kill me

So I started Crossfire SP a few days ago and its awesome, but I have hit a bit of a snag. I'm stuck in X3 whatever where planet Crossfire is with the massive rack of jump gates. I was hitting stations and such to try and find out where to go for a cap ship, and I hit a gate in Freeport 7 system and when i entered everything became hostile. I managed to run and survive, but I have no idea how to get out. Is there a jump hole somewhere on the rim where I can escape, and what faction is the system? If it helps in the storyline I just got to kusari space.
