Virus

    Hello, I scanned my computer today and it indicated that I have 3 viruses its call TROJ_GEN.R99C3HE , TROJ_GEN.R3BE1GT and TROJ_GEN.R99C3HE at first I delete it but some how my Crossfire shortcut got deleted too so I did a system restore so I can play crossfire again.


    Everything is good, till I scan for virus again and those 3 virus show up again I looked for the location of the virus to my surprise the location was the freelancer mod manager\mods\crossfire1.8\exe\ So can anybody tell what is this all means? :(

    This is called a false positive - Crossfire does not contain malicious programs. There is extensive coverage of this issue in both FAQ and other topics.


    Just add your Freelancer folder and its subfolders to the Ignore list in your virus scanner, that should take care of it.

    Yes, there's no virus, but a false positive of the anticheat system... it will be solved with the 1.82 release.


    You see your PC works fine and internet too.... so don't worry ^^
