This is the second time this has happened. Freelancer is working fine for a little while, and then I start to get an error when I start. cfwd.exe problem starting multiplayer/singleplayer [E5]/[E7]. I read the error codes. They mean corrupt installation. It was working fine though for a day or so. Help!

Hi
This happens to me after a server crash and I re-start FL. It's nothing to do with the server. When I close FL down the cfwd.exe stays open and stops me from re-starting FL.
All you need to do is
"Ctrl - Alt & delete"
and start "Task manager"
then click on "Processes"
then select or highlight cfwd.exe and then "End task"
Now you should be able to start FL again.By the way I use XP to play FL but this should work for Vista, Not sure about Win 7.
