Just for clarification -- this is what I see on every portal page. Looks like OP's doing something there :)).
If you don't see the pic, let me explain -- the SWAT logo is so friggin' huge, that it even reaches out from my Full HD monitor

whoah, nice logo! If you don't see it and are on firefox, press Ctrl+F5 -- it'll clear the cache and refresh the page.

Sorry, i'd like to say something positive but i'm at a loss right now...
I don't care about the logo, but that grainy, rasterized background makes reading much more difficult. That's a classic case of form inhibiting function.
I saw the new logo but only with IE, FF cannot read it ... Why you change the table's background with all these millions of little annoying squares. Come on it affects my eyes and reading posts is making it harder ...

and i didnt use urs because I need fast loading logos and not the oversized pngs you usually create

But I can still beat you, by using JPGs and manually blending them with the theme's background, like this:
I'll use this image (22kb, 3kb more than yours, but has color :]):
... and put it in the Dark Grey new theme:
Only downside -- each theme needs its own image, but they're easy to make, cos I have everything layered and stuff :]
Or I could try and make a fake alpha-blended GIF out of it

Wow...last couple days harve been really hard for my eyes.....I do like the new logo, but first everthing was full of crosshatches when I went to forum, now its too much contrast (bright red and black) imo. Maybe a slightly less bright red?. Not to criticise...just my opinioin...a little less contrast please. The color around the swat portal dropdown menu...seems maroon, but the lines of deliniation and such are super bright red....also the white text on very dark black background.....maybe just me or my monitor
Otherwise...I like the look the new pages and buttons
seriously if u want to put a SWAT logo shooting WHITE STUFF out of it I will have to make a joke about that in every comment, and trust me you don't want that
I was reworking the forum header today - gonna show you soon what i created (no fear i dont changed any images - at least not ver much).
And OP if you dont mind - can you please send me the template files for the header at least. Wondering that the browser can show how it loosk like currently - the code for that is terrible and full of little failures^^
