the thing is why shall players visit crossfire.swat-portal.com to get informed why the server is down. I expect we don't have this information - unless OP has done anything so it was necessary to switch it off... Then OP could inform us all. But in all other cases we don't have any information about unavailability of the server.
The background picture is somewhat old - have seen it in recent times already - but its looking cool tho. I don't think this ship in the foreground fits to this picture - the logo is brilliant and fits
What about to make a picture of crossfire specific ship, system, or anything similar. And please don't overload the pictures with ships. Keep it simple and plain... 
nice, mate, but smaller text looking hard-readable... Op said SIMILAR to logo, so I use "swatch" font for text below...
Sometimes simple decision is better, I think.
1) check spelling 
2) that's totally not a cf ship
3) I still don't rly think that font fits
4) OP maybe you could give us some kind of a pre-release beta version (with ENB) so we have something to make pictures out of

where is that ship from? can i have that pic unmodified?
going on topic, even if that ship is not appropriate fot not being in CF, the idea of one alone ship standing in space fits really well with the meaning of the screen: no multiplayer, keep playing alone...

By the way, instead we choosing the perfect logo for the 1.8 , can't we just put several logo's there and they to changing in every restart of the launcher? I'll do some logo's in a few days(because i am a bit busy)

its not about you max - was crysis inquiry!
btw what's the big deal? it's just the image showing you CAN'T connect to the server (less likely to see than the whole "updating" thing)
also, we could use some of these for the launcher when MP's available (c'mon errors mustn't get all the eyecandy - they're errors!!!)
