refresh forum page question

There are 3 replies in this Thread. The last Post () by magnet.

    When I refresh the page on a forum to see if there have been any changes, it boots me back to the main forum selection page. Why?

    cos the board uses a frame to always keep the displayed address www.forum.swat-portal.com (instead of www.swat-portal.com/php/wbboard/main.php). so when you refresh the page, browser goes to the page in address bar - www.forum.swat-portal.com - main forum page.


    Hope what I wrote can be understood :P


    BTW OP, it would be a neat option to disable that frame (I just use open in new tab) cos I don't like having a not-true address in the address bar :)

    you can refresh the boards by right clicking on the forum site that you want to refresh... you get the option just to refresh that site

    also, if you use firefox (dunno about ie), you can right-click on the page, select "this frame" -> "show only this frame" - then the refresh will work right
