Make a 2. FL Installation from the scratch in the same Directories you had before you renamed them.

If you wanna play another Mod use the new Directories.
If you want to play CF just rename the 6 Directories and you are ready for take of.

Are you saying re name the program file that exists, the 'my doc' saved games? Would the program run w/ the new name doc file? How would one find the other?

nothing changed so far.

just rename Freelancer where ever you installed it for example

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FreelancerCF

rename FLMM where ever you installed it aswell.
rename your Save Game Directory aswell.

Install Freelancer via CD in the same Directory u used before the renaming here:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

patch it

install FLMM in the same Directory u used before

Play on Vinalla FL Servers or download and install every other Mod.

If you feel homeless just rename the now called FL Directories to whatever you like for example:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FreelancerVanilla

do it with FLMM and the Save Game Directory aswell.

Rename the stored CF Installation back from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FreelancerCF to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer

do it with the Save Game Directory and the FLMM Directory aswell.

And find your Mates waiting for you on CF while you are safe to enter it again.

I almost forgot, I made a copy of FL on my HDD a loooooong time ago. This way the installation is much quicker. [969]

Just to confuse things a little more ... you dont need to rename the FLMM as when the mod is activated the MM then becomes pretty useless anyway... so you can delete ur FLMM and reinstall new.
