best movie ever, not because of its accuracy but because it highlights the genocide against my people and my irish kin!<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/45z2pbuM3m4&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/45z2pbuM3m4&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

looks a nice movie, remembers me lord of the rings
which movie is it?
-
THAT, dear laddie, be 'Braveheart'! The movie about William Wallace, a brave Scot who rallied his people to fight the oppression o' the English.
And I agree with Haldir, one of the best movies ever! I'm also partial to 'Rob Roy'... They're both up there in my top 3 Historical Film Favorites.. although I dinna ken which I like better.. best make them equal and tie them at #2!
(my #1 is a little-known film you've probably never even heard of..lol)O' course, Lord of the Rings is still #1 in the Fantasy Film section..

You should read "How the Irish Saved Civilization", by Thomas Cahill; they were the only Europeans with any culture for several centuries. And all that isolation wasn't such a bad thing, it made them quite creative! BTW, my maternal grandfather was full-blooded Irish.
Too bad I only inherited his stubbornness & bushy eyebrows...

interesting facts btw...
