Observation

Hi all 1st id like to say thanx to all for such a warm welcome back....its great to be back and playing and having a laugh with all of you.

There have been a few things that have concerned me The No Sucicide rule....Ive seen many members moaning about it and now a post on SP board....ive also heared that members have left because of this which is a shame as in principle this rule is a very good and positive rule, those of you that were moaning about the lack of RP just think how much more RP this rule has created no more smuggelers flying in to planets and suiciding no more one way traffic RP........and to be honest in battles like ASF/CSF RP why would you need to suicide..... i will be the 1st to admit that no suicide when you have engaged in a simple PvP to be a little strange but on the other hand how could SP properly monitor it with effect without ruining there own fun.

But i will say this and i have been a victim of this the odd accidental whoops ive crashed into planet by accident, we all know it happens and we all know that sometimes it cant be helped even during PvP where your mind is so on the fight and not on where you are.....In this case i would ask for SP to be more patient with the fines and for those that have been fined to politly speak to the SP and explain circumstance.....im sure if we all work together and help one another we can iron out all the little imperfections with the no suicide rule.

I would also urge all othere members that threw in the towel to come back and help us work this out SP's are our friends not our enemy and they are only affective if we allow them the time to be and not harrassing them with bitchy conversations and pointing fingers at each other.

A sucsesfull server is one where ALL MEMBERS work towards a common goal!!!!

I would noramlly agree with you Huor but i have heared that some have left because of the way this rule was enforced and not the rule itself.

for example say you were in a train full of BMG and you were being chased heading towards the docking moor at high speeds and you try to speed dock hit the ring and bounce into the planet totally by accident......isnt it bad enough that the player lost his cargo but to be fined 1 mil on top for suiciding is nothing more than an insult and in my books abuse of powers.....i think you will find that this is one of the main reasons people have left not the rule itself but how its enforced.

Im not here to create and argument but as i have been away for a few months im not stuck in the thick of it all and can take an impartial veiw of it.....sometimes it takes someone to make otheres look at the othere side of the coin.

But all said and done if someone repeat suicides then they deserve all the fines they get.

Like my post says purely observation and i dont know what is being discussed on SP board.
