I would agree that it's the best except for two things;
Speed mod
Adv. Beam Weapons mod.
Since I only play SP, it's not really cheating (You can't cheat NPCs, they aren't real, right?), and I only like those two things for one reason each;
Speed; Doesn't take 45+ min. to cross a single system. And,
Beam Weapons; I like to blow crap up really quickly. Theres something about knowing that you could take out a planet (if they were destructable) in a few seconds that makes me get a tingly feeling 
Oh well. At least it gives me something to do while I wait for Microsoft to make Freelancer 2... Hey, it could happen!!! D8
ah it's really cool to shot hammerheads @ omicron theta with a dromedary without use these cheats... yeah, i think they're cheats coz it makes things easier 4 u.
they are cheats. and they suck. all you need is some fine equipment and a tiny bit of skill to do all that w/o cheating. final.
and btw there is a CF database w/ all ships and locations. all you need to do is find the password in-game to access it 
just work to get some cool stuff ... it isn't fun anymore when u cheat
and u can always ask people for the way in CF 1.8
There are surprisingly few idiots playing CF online. At least less than on any other server i've ever been. Which is pretty much why i'm still here
