Bought the game..

    So after beating Freelancer (and not being able to get eMule or bittorrent working ;-\) I went ahead and ordered Starlancer from Amazon. It should be in before the weekend and i'm planning on spending my game time this weekend playing the singleplayer.


    Sooo here's my question: is the game as playable without a joystick as it is with one? I've looked around online and I keep getting mixed reviews.

    you can play it without joystick... in SP is ok


    but its more fun to play it with stick

    Hm. In multi-player do you have a disadvantage if you don't have the stick?


    Also, any particular model that I should get, or just any flight-sim stick?

    very likely you have a disadvantage since movements with stick can be done faster and more intuitive


    which stick is not much important and mainly a personal preference
    personally I would never want another stick than the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 since this is a very heavy and precise stick

    Yipes. I just tried it with the keyboard setup. Friggin' impossible to aim ^^.


    Thanks for the help OP ^^ Once I beat the single-player and figure out how to work the online settings, hopefully I can take a shot at yeh sometime ^^

    I only use Keyboard and I cannot play online as the program works only with 2000/XP. :(
