SP Need a new ship

    Hey everyone, please take it easy on me....this is my first post :)


    I'm new to Freelancer and very new to Crossfire. I'm playing through the SP campaign for the first time.....using Crossfire.


    Here's my question, I'm just about to start mission 4 and would love to try out some of the new ships, but I can't find any! I've done some searching on the forum and know that there aren't any new ships in the vanilla systems....but I can't find any of the new systems!


    I really have no idea how to. Right now I'm in the NY system...are there any new systems near by? How do I find them?

    well, New York is the fastest way to get to the new systems (that is if u play SP) :))

    Yep - try the Junkers base in NY - there is something nearby


    But beware - some of the new ships have level requirements that you may not yet reached -

    Well.....thanks for the suggestions guys, it feels a bit like a riddle at the moment. But I'm going to dig in as soon as I get home today.
    Hopefully I'll report back tomorrow in a shinny new ship!

    You guys weren't kidding though....I can't touch any of those ships because of the level requirements :(


    Are there systems to visit during SP campaign where I can actually buy a good ship, without the HUGE level requirement?

    Play Open SP. :D


    Just uninstall the mod and reinstall to play Open SP.

    hmm why for play open sp if u can play multi ??? i think there should be more crappy NEW ships so u can fly them in sp campagin
    couse why for play campagin with cf if ur forced to fly most of time on baracuda anyway :P

    i think it was op's original idea not to screw the vanilla fl, so new ships r only part of new systems, and have a high lvl requirement, with other things in hand too.


    but, i guess op could make a few compromises in 1.8 version, making some ships a bit leveldown, since they r generally not used anyway.

    exacly there is many good looking ships but no one totally use them in mp .. thye was be good if make from them a sp ships with lover armor and all stats and lvl ... btw what demage got an elder main cannon ?
