Sorry I didn't see this yesterday but RL came first. However, my question is, did you reformat first or just re-install the OS and which OS? It is possible to re-install the OS without corrupting all the data. While the direct connection to the ID may be missing, the data should still be in the appropriate file and will need to be manually pulled up and copied down, then re-entered. Windows allows for this type of re-install if you selected that option.
