Hi, so I went to death valley system, recovered that data disk in the system, and brought it back to the crossfire planet. How am I supposed to advance the story line, as nothing new appears in the news. Am I missing something obvious?

thats a good bit of advice, however I need to make 3.5 million before the next level and have access no freighters larger than the clydesdale. I do not believe that it is possible to land on the BPA Newgate in manchester so is there another way that I can make this amount of money relatively quickly, or do I need to spend many hours on relatively small trade runs

You can change some numbers in Freelancer\DATA\RANDOMMISSIONS\Diff2Money.
What exactly do those numbers mean, and how should I change them?

Hi I seem to be in a similar predicament:
I'm not quite sure exactly which mission I am playing right now in regular story mode, but I believe it is towards the end of the bretonia section of the missions. Since I am an outcast from liberty space at this point (after Trent and Juni must run away to Leeds with the artifact etc.) I cannot access the prison ships in the Texas area for obvious reasons. Additionally, the Custodian system as well as a couple more that I visited that branch off of the Custodian system are all hostile, presumably because ships are also hostile in Liberty. Therefore, it seems that I cannot land on the bases in those systems either to sell prisoners and what now. If, to get to level 10, I need to bring my 3.5 million dollar player value up to 6 million, how can I make enough money in this situation in a somewhat timely manner (trading with the clydesdale will probably take about 5.5 hours of my life, under the best circumstances). Are there any systems I can get to in order to make a large profit quickly?
