Also WineHQ - Freelancer 1.x might give some hints.
Looks like there is some troubles with DirectPlay (playing on server).
In the comments there is a "walkthrough" for another mod.

I actually have an old kickstarter license, but I don't think it is usefull anymore (beta). I don't see any possible ways to transfer a license.

I could be a freelancer or ask for membership of another clan (may be I send a request for membership to TSH-clan. This would be funny !)
At this moment I am much frustrated.
Do you actually know which RP you want to play or is it several (Freelancer).
Also there must have been reasons for joining (Fallen) or not.All online are your friends, that you can Role Play with. The RP just never happens the way you planned it

Perhaps check "Set Filter" options - remove all and upload a picture of "Freelancer Servers"
